A November to Remember!

Actually this post will finish off October...and then we will move on into November...just in case you are wondering why there is a reappearance of the chicken for a second time in a row!  The girls finished off spirit week with neon day..
and Western day
and even finished off the first semester with some awesome grades!!  Proud mom right here!

So to celebrate the girls had a fall festival at school.

and then after it was over we headed up to Childrens' for our hopefully last appt.  And we were relieved to hear the arm had healed perfectly and this little girl got that cast of finally!

We were able to celebrate with some fun in the woods with friends.  These kids are city girls but you can't take the country out of them because the come by it honestly from their parents and grandparents.  They really enjoyed their time in the deer woods that weekend and we promised to let them do it more often when we left and they were in tears!

but we had to get to Little Rock for some good stuff.  We started the day with Chili with a Kick in the Heights where we got to hang out with friends and try a bit of it all.  Beautiful weather didn't hurt...can you believe it is November?!!
That night Mitch and i were signed up to help with the Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.  We made it a family event and the whole family joined us to remember our good friend David.

the crew walking in memory of David!
It was an awesome experience to see the survivors and families there in support of their loved ones living and deceased.  I can't think of anywhere i would rather have been in that moment.  And we followed it up with pizza with the whole gang.

That next morning we headed out on a hike through the spa city.  The girls did a great job of keeping up and impressing mom and dad with their speed.  Love this family time the mostest!
Some red faces...and once again can u believe we are in tanks in November!!

I promised the girls I would have lunch with them that next week because there aren't many opportunities considering my work schedule to get to do so.  It was a lot of fun and we even brought cupcakes for everyone.

My little ninja!
Now I guess i was a little pre-mature in saying November earlier because i think it was actually the last weekend in October.  Because Halloween fell on MOnday so forgive me but I am so behind on this blog it all starts to run together!  A little bit of the fun decor the girls enjoy this time of year.  We get a new witch each Halloween and the house is really starting to fill up with them.  Picture isn't a great representation but it did look really cute once we were done with it.
My little Eleana of Avalor once again
joined by the Mad Hatter

We started the night off with some games at the college,

then moved on to our annual get together at Pop and Nicki's house with all the cousins.

AB even met her twin

And then ended the night with friends riding around our neighborhood...and yes the chicken even tried to get a little candy that night.  Unfortunately there were no takers!

The girls were recognized for their efforts at school the next week with the awards assembly.  AB got perfect attendance and all A's!  She was one of only 5 in her grade that got all A's so that made it an even bigger honor this semester!
I think you can see by the smiile she was pretty proud of herself.

And we kept the balling rolling...literally with this little soccer star every Monday and Thursday night throughout November.
and she had quite the support crew!
Then it was B's turn for her awards.
Since her grades aren't official yet she took home an award for Great Phonics Skills!  Smartie pants!
That weekend on the spur of a moment we decided to hit one more game for the season and we left out early Saturday morning for the hill.  The girls stayed behind with nana and pop.  We had a great time celebrating their victory that day and then turned around and headed back to the spa city.
We even manage a little late night dinner with this crew when we got home!
And all the while these girls were loving their quiet time with the grandparents.
Finally,  I found a few action shots of this soccer start that weren't video so I could post them.  She really improved throughout the season and even made a few goals.  Not sure they were all intentional but they were goals none the less.

So thankful to have our entire family along for the ride with us.  I can't imagine feeling any more blessed to do life with this crew.  As I post these pictures I am reminded of all the happy times and those still yet to come!
