17 years, Mother's Day and Memorial Day all Rolled into One!

Still in quarantine...just in case anyone was wondering.  But we are trying to get out of the house a bit, even for small moments with friends.  We spent a few nights down in Hope for a change of scenery.  We enjoyed going down memory lane, and seeing our old house and most of all our friends.  We miss this town, but we miss our people even more.

We love our church...it will always be home to us.

Finally, a little socializing with a small group of friends.  So glad to get some time with other kiddos after a couple of months to ourselves.

A little golfing with dad on a sunny day.
This is one cute golfer!
A few more interviews for The CALL.  So proud of the work we are doing to help children during this time and even more thankful for all those that have supported our work in order to keep our organization thriving during this pandemic.

Mitch and I celebrated our 17th anniversary in early May.  The girls did a great job of making us feel special.  The two of us took a little boat ride that afternoon and when we got home the girls surprised us with a little dinner preparation and decoractions.
They had candles lit, a flower on the table and just to be really crazy we broke our our wedding China for the first time in 17 years!  I know that makes some cringe that probably gave me this wonderful set, but for 17 years we have never had a place to store it at our home until now.  So I decided even on the plastic table cover, with the amazing pizza we had delivered tonight was the night.  I think it was worth the wait!

They even made us our special charcuterie board

A few of the Mother's day gifts the girls worked hard on for all the mommas in their live.
We started the day off on Petit Jean Mountain with my family.  I loved getting to spend the beautiful day with my family and enjoy it in this gorgeous location.

Nana and her girls!
We even got out of the house and tried out a new trail the Cross family recommended.  It was gorgeous hiking up the back of the waterfall trail to see if from a whole different perspective.

Me and my sister...love this girl!
A little fine dining al fresco on the side of the mountain!

The view from the top...it's a long way down.

A view from the top...
One of our favorite parts of the hike was at the end in this old Indian cavern that even has writings on the wall.

We ended Mother's day back at the house with an evening with "G" having dinner and some laughs with this funny gal!  Thankful for all the mothers in our lives.  We even went to visit Nicki a week later at her home, just not sure we got pics because she wasn't feeling well that day.
The girls put together a basket for healthcare workers from Volleyball team.
Brit's first tube ride of the season..not going to be her last for sure.
Love these three friends and their sweet friendship...
Blakely's Bday Parade!
A little time with the birthday boy himself, Bobo turned another year older (but we want say which one)  I guess we didn't take pics but we made him his favorite cake as well...red velvet with cream cheese icing.  The girls and I have been perfecting our cake making skills during time at home!

And not one but two birthdays were celebrated that weekend as Nana turned another year older. but I definitely won't say which one either!

We made her favorite cake a strawberry cake with strawberry icing and of course real strawberries!

We saw an old friend Chandler while over at Bobo's.  I can't believe Shonda's boy is all grown up!

A little tub right for Flat Stanley from school assignment.
These three friends celebrated a big bday together.  How cute are they???

All decked out in head to toe red, white and blue for Memorial Day.

And of course a little tubing took place over the weekend.

Life on the lake is for sure much better during quarantine.  We have enjoyed time on the water to the fullest!
We even got a sleep over from our friends the Powell's, I couldn't believe it but this 40 week pregnant girl and her hubby came for a final boat ride before baby.  So glad to get one last pic with that baby, because Patton will be here very soon, just glad it wasn't that night!
We finally, finished one quarantine project.  We have tried to get a few things done around the house during our time at home and for whatever reason it seems nearly impossible right now to finish a project.  But, we finally got our dock patio finished and thank goodness, because we spend lots of lake afternoons there now.  This was our first night on the patio as we picked up dinner and got to enjoy the quiet together.  Looking forward to lots of memories together on this space!

We enjoyed our dinner right up until we had a few dinner guests that wanted to get a bite.

That weekend, Charlie and I went for a walk, but on this day after the rain she found a surprise.  She plopped down to cool off for a bit....

but that just wasn't quite enough...so she took it to another level.  Needless to say a bath was in order when we got home!
