Halloween 2011!

We had so much fun mixed with a whole lot of craziness on Halloween this year. I must say having it fall on a Monday did not make for the easiest time getting ready this year. But oh the joy of getting to braid Rapunzel's hair!!! Addie Blaire had decided a long time ago that she was going to be Rapunzel "or Tangled" as she calls it. I wasn't sure if she would change her mind so I waited to order but low and behold she stayed true to her word and Rapunzel was so enchanting!! As for Brit we had discussed a skunk and a monkey due to the fact she is our little stinker and quite a little monkey the way she gets around. She was so cute!! it was a perfect fit and she even wore it all night long without any struggle. So here's to our little trick or treaters...

After a few major tangles and hang ups I think Addie has decided that she is okay with never letting her hair grow out.

See no evil, hear no evil!

Addie Blaire had dance class after school so they got to wear their costumes and even had a party!! All the little princesses were so cute!

After dance we headed to the great grandparents to meet up with all the other family. We try to get a picture of all the kiddos every year but as the group grows so does the heartache of trying to get them all in a picture.

I had to get a picture of that cute little tail.

Lily, Katie Ella, Addie Blaire and Britann

with Julia and Ty..

and even Lydia after a little coaxing.

The princess looks like she is getting a little impatient waiting on her princess to rescue her!

We rushed over to the church after that to set up our trunk for trunk or treat. As you can tell it was kinda a last minute job. Basically I grabbed everything from our front door and threw it in the trunk!! Nice, I know. The girls had so much fun not only going around but getting to hand out candy as well.

Little Brit sat there and ate her raviolis and visited with everyone. Miss Addie Blaire was quite the candy giver (maybe one reason we were running a little low!?) but so proud to represent our great church in reaching out to those in our community. Happy Halloween 2011!

Just a quick little funny add on. The girls and I ran by last weekend to the Battle of the Ravine festivities in Arkadelphia and got to do lots of bouncing and visiting on our way back home. I thought these pictures were pretty funny. Addie Blaire vs. Darby Kate in the battle of their mom's old stomping grounds (I graduated from OBU and Jodi from HSU!) But considering I spent some great years at both it is really hard to be partial one way or the other!!

Little Brit even did a little bouncing of her own!

Oh, and I couldn't leave this out!! The first pickle, I know it is hard to tell by the look on her face but she freakin loved it!! She ate the entire pickle before I realized it.

Note to followers!

This is just a note to those that follow this blog (grandparents probably) because the rest of you I would bore to death with all my pictures. I have updated several posts (like 8 or so) and I don't want you to miss them so you need to look back at older posts to catch them all.

Pumpkins galore!

The girls and I did some pumpkin carving before Halloween and we did a pretty good job, nothing to fancy but job well done.
Afterwards we baked the pumpkin seeds. I have always loved them but I wasn't sure what Addie would think and low and behold she loved them. I didn't even get a chance at them. We may have to go buy another just to make some more seeds for mommy.

Katie Ella came over the other night and yes we did get this on video the singing that occurred here, but it was hysterical just take my word for it. Katie left the singing to Addie and she didn't hold back!! They dress up like this everytime she comes over and you never know what you are going to get.Little Brit in one of my outfits as a baby. My mom had my picture taken in this and so we tried it on her but it was just a little too snug I couldn't make her keep it on. I am not a saver but I can tell you I now have an appreciation for it because of all the things my mom held on to my girls have a whole other world to play with at Nana's that most kids will never appreciate (like the old fisher price people) the new ones just aren't the same.

Mom and I took the girls to the pumpkin patch on my way to see Shrek the other day and it turned out to be alot of fun. One of my doctor's offices had told me about this one in Malvern and I was really impressed with it. It had all kinds of activities and animals, forget the pumpkins we just wanted to play!

I just had to get some pumpkin pictures of Britann since this was her 1st year.

How funny is the bow on her head!! Proof she does indeed have enough hair to keep it up. I forgot her headband but she actually had enough strands to clip this thing on!! So proud!!!

Our little cowgirl....

and cowboy!

Can you tell Nana wasn't too sure about the pig?? She wanted to take the pictures instead but didn't know how to work the phone. I bet she learns how next time!

This turkey freaked Addie out and right as I talked her into getting closer it let out the loudest "gobble" and mom might have even screamed on that one. We were done with mr. turkey after that.Nana and the girls got their first wagon ride.

After the pumpkin patch we met Jodi and Darby and went to see Shrek the musical in Little Rock. It was awesome!!!! I was so totally impressed with the show and the characters. I really can't say enough good about it. I would see it again and again. I hope that some of you had the chance to catch it while it was in town because it really surpassed all my expectations.

After the show we made another trip by Purple Cow, we couldn't let Darby miss out on the chance to try a Monster milkshake!! And mommies might have gotten a little of their own.

A little trip to Chuckie cheese for a birthday party for Peyton while daddy was out of town proved to be alot of work for mommy but fun for 2 little girls!

The birthday girl!

Addie Blaire was the only kid at the party that wasn't scared of Chuckie. She went right up to the front to give him a hug and he patted her on the head. She thought that was pretty cool but if she could only have seen what I remember of Chuckie Cheese with the whole band (remember the good ole days) she would have really been beside herself. She did a little dancing with him after that!Look out with Brit at the wheel. Chuckie you are in for one wild ride!!

Racing for the Cure!

The whole gang gathered and ready to race!! It has been a tradition for some time with my mom and sister to do the race for the cure and it only makes it that much more special now that there are 3 new faces to join us!! I hope it is a tradition we can keep on doing for many years to come and such a great cause and day to be a part of together!
The Peggy Jordan fan club. You can count on them every year. Go Peg!

Britann had her first race this year and it was a little chilly but she was amazed by all the people and noise. It can definitely be overwhelming!!

Addie Blaire wanted to walk some this year and she did such a good job of keeping up, not that we were speed walking by any means though (for those that do the race you know what I am talking about).

Going over the river bridge. You will notice that since we were in no particular hurry we took plenty of time for photo ops!

Get it Girl!!

I looked down as I was huffing and puffing at one point due to the fact that I had 2 (yes 2) flat tires on my stroller and was pushing some 60 or 70 pounds along the way. But anyways that is beside the point, I looked down and the girls were holding hands. I couldn't help but let the emotions get the best of me at that point. I guess the race is a little emotional as you see these women walking in memory of others and so that special little gesture was just so sweet at the time.

The Chick fil A cow. I had to explain that one to Addie. So now she tells everyone " that the cow tells everyone to eat more chicken cause she doesn't want to get eaten" sometimes my explanations need a little improvement but she got that one right!!!

The finish line, enough said after a few miles with flat tires!!!

The girls with their girls!!

yeah, i know that you have seen people most these pictures alot or I have, but I actually had nothing to do with it. Addie Blaire saw them as we walked in and after once again another explanation about "mannequins" I am getting good at all this explaining with such a curious little girl. She decided she wanted her picture with them. She literally crawled back there and asked me to take it. :)

AFter the race we headed to Addie's favorite, the Purple Cow. Although this time we tried something a little different the Monster milkshake, not only was it very tasty, (not that I would know or anything) but it was super cute!

Lila and the girls got some great bonding time now that she has started to crawl it will be lots of fun. Addie loved being the big girl and wanted to read her a book. Lila is such a little sweetie she just sat there and let her and then...

we decided to add wild one and not much reading happened after that. Little Brit (or the blur as Terri called her) was on the move.

Good times with some good girls!!! Can't beat them.
