Summer Days...I wish they would never end!!

The summer seems to really have flown by and given it is almost November and I am just now posting this makes it seem like the whole year has flown by before my eyes.  But let me pick up where I left off, It is the type A in me that won't let me do otherwise!
We returned home from the beach and the next weekend we were packed up and ready to go Thursday night to Hot Springs for my family reunion.  Mitch had a previously scheduled golf tournament in Fayetteville so it was just us girls.  We met up at a house with my parents, Terri and her family and had the best time relaxing and add in lots of playing and don't forget eating.  It made for some great memories for us all!
Lila had never made the awesome voyage to Magic Springs so that was first on the agenda.  Aunt T got to experience that with the girls.

then a little Splashing with the kiddos in the baby pool.

We even got to hang out with Mason and some buddies for the day.  The kids had a blast taking turns riding a ride then cooling off in the water.  AB and Lila and B and Mason!

 Then back to the slides!!
and the even bigger slides.  Luckily for my sister I love her to much to include the completely awesome and hilarious video from this experience.  Trust me though it was unforgettable, or maybe it was Bracy's voice over of the experience that made it so funny!
 Selfie...fail!
 success!!!

and a real soaker to finish all the kiddos off!!
Dinner with cousins at one of my favorites.
and the silliness never seemed to stop.
lots of love for the "cool older cousins"
 who even came bearing gifts!
the whole family even got to witness several "shows" while we were there.

So great to see cousins who are spread out all over the south and yet see each other once a year and it feels like we were always together!
Love this group and all the "newbies" that married in are a great bonus!
and then there were these two..one moment pure love and the next you never know!

A little fun with a great group of folks at the Travelers game one evening.  Not sure who this guy is but he sure does make the rest of these aging men look good!
All through the summer I would get random pictures from the babysitter of what the girls were up to and I never knew what to expect, but this is one of my favs definitely made the rest of my day brighter!
One of the last weekends of summer was spent with Aunt Brandee in LR and it was perfect timing because we got to see dad while we were there!  Hard to get a great pic of a billboard but I sure tried, and tried!

So proud of this man we are lucky enough to call dad and husband.  He makes me proud whether he is on a billboard in the middle of Little Rock or sitting at the table helping the girls with homework we know we are lucky to have him.  But super proud of his accomplishment for a cause which is near and dear to his heart!
It is always such a good time with cousins!  LOVE , love these kiddos.
The kids had a blast trying their feet at something new.
B and Mason were our careful skaters, hard to believe these two ever slow down long enough to give it a try!  They should have had those years ago when I was a kid it would have saved me a bunch of scrapes and bruises.
AB decided regular skates weren't for her and did a great job on the blades instead!
such sweet girls and some good skaters too!
then we traded out for a different kind of skate and gave the ice a try!

until we just couldn't do it anymore!

Then the next morning they were right back at it.  Lots of tubing took place every chance these kiddos got!
Dad even got in on some Magic Springs action before the summer ended.

AB even participated in Unity Baptist's annual week long camp where they studied the bible and had lots of time to enjoy some activities in Texarkana as well.

And then it was Watermelon Festival time.  My most favorite and most dreaded weekend all year.  I this year attempted to put on two concerts instead of the usual one.  Which proved to be difficult given the 104 temps we had that weekend.  Friday night we had the Liverpool Legends from Branson who entertained everyone with Beatles tunes.

They even included the girls in on there "grovvey" ways!
the next morning we were up and at um early for the Kids run.  The girls both gave it their best shot!

and then cooled off with some of this town's favorite melons!  B never seems to fail me when it comes time for my yearly watermelon pic..those faces are memorable to say the least.

that evening the whole family joined us for the Buddy Jewel and Sammy Kershaw concert.

please don't just it was 104 and I had been outside all day...so much work goes into these concerts I do and it is hard to understand but this year in the heat it was unbearable!  and to think I was the one with the bright idea to do it for two days!!  only if its indoors next year!

and more fun with family and friends to finish off the summer!

then before we knew it these cousins were all gearing up for back to school!  So sad to see another summer gone by but excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for these cuties!
