Summer Time is Here!

I enjoyed spending time volunteering with Project Zero for their waiting for zero event to match waiting kids with forever families.  It was a hot one but loved helping with this event and meeting some amazing kiddos.

Starting the summer off right hanging out with friends before school ended.
B had her end of year choir program and this little hare did a great job!!

B and Mrs. Cowan her favorite teacher!!

Then it was time for B's end of year program where she received several awards.  The best one..VIP of her classroom .  She was so proud of this award as were we.  This was her first year at a new school and she rocked it.  She grew so much academically and ended the year with all A's.  I am so proud of her and all her hard work to get caught up on her new curriculum.  We are proud of this little rock star and can't wait to see all the progress she will make this year too!

AB had her end of year play day.  She had a great time with friends and seemed to enjoy her first year at her new school.  She did an amazing job of jumping in there.  I am so excited for the new friends she has made and to see where this road will take her.

Memorial day kicked off was the annual craw fish broil at the Buelow's.  The girls had a great time hanging out with friends and family all weekend.
Cousin time...always fun!

I guess this was a bit hot..Mitch! HA!

Meeting the new Morris twins
AB and Maddie
Our first worship on the water for the Methodist Church.  They brought the service to the lake for the weekend.  It was pretty awesome!

And just like that it was the last day of school.  These girls made it a whole year at their new school and by my account they rocked it.  I am so proud of how brave they were to go from a school of a class with 15 students total to a grade with close to 300.  That is a hug change to say the least, I was so nervous for them but they didn't miss a beat.  I can't tell you how proud I am of them and how happy I am to see them both enjoying school and new friends.  It was such a big step for our family after 15 years in Hope to make this change. I must say that seeing these girls so happy makes it feel like it was worth it!  Here's to many more wonderful years with these two cuties!
AB attended a U of A Fayetteville volleyball camp the first week after school was out.  She enjoyed hanging out with friends from school and getting more volleyball practice in during the summer.
And poor B had to have her adenoids taken out that first week.  She was a bit nervous but did an awesome job.  They said the surgery took a bit longer because her adenoids were so big they were blocking 90% of the canal.  I am so glad she got that surgery behind her, and so glad that she is no longer storing like an old man!  She recovered so quickly and was back on her feet ready to take on summer!
B and her cousins got to spend the week with Nana and Pop and enjoyed their VBS and some swimming lessons all week.

My little Shark is progressing quite well!

And of course, with these 3 you can expect a lemonade stand or two when they get together.
Bring on summer...we are ready for you!

May...what a blur you have been!

May started off with a bang.  We helped to pull of the 7th annual Walk for the Waiting for The CALL, Project Zero and Immerse.  It was a great day with lots of foster families and children celebrating the work they do each day to make these children's lives easier.  Blessed to get to be a part of this organization.

It was a family affair...the whole family pitched in to help.

Lauri was such a sport being turned into a walking hamburger!
The next week we headed out to Kentucky for the CAFO conference.  It was an amazing conference with some of the best Christian keynote speakers.  Just hearing all the work that is taking place across the globe for orphans will make you feel so small. I left wanting to do more, and be more for all those in my life.  I really can't express how powerful it was to be a part of something so special.
Tim Tebow even stopped by to speak and pray for us.
The whole call crew that attended this year.

A little late anniversary dinner.  We used to celebrate with trips and such and now dinner away seems like all we can fit in.  So glad to have some time together regardless of how far away.  (although a trip in the near future wouldn't be a bad idea!..hint, hint)
A little Mother's day lunch with this crew in Arkadelphia.  At least the sun wasn't bothering B or I...ha!
These three girls did a great job in the talent show this year.  I was so proud of AB for doing this.  She has never performed in front of her whole school like she did this year and I was so impressed by what a great job they did.  Such beautiful ballerinas!

And then it was off to watch her perform again in Sleeping Beauty.  She worked so hard for many months leading up to this show.  It is always a joy to watch her dance.

She had a great cheering section as always!

The 6th grade choir had an end of year concert based on the 80's so we had a lot of fun getting these girls ready to look the part.

B had her end of year recital as well.  She performed two dances, a ballet and a tap.  She did such a good job for her first year at this studio.

B had her field day before the end of the year.  She did a great job and had the time of her life.  She loved every second of getting to be on that field, especially since she got a day off from school.

A little celebratory lunch after the field games at Purple Cow.

B even got to participate in her first volleyball clinic in May.  She is ready for next year to get started on the Rising Rams!
