Softball and field trips..it's almost summer!

And so it begins...the season is off and in full swing.  These girls are both excited to get started back and hoping to improve more this year!
I got the pleasure of attending AB's field trip this year.  It was a lot of fun to get to hang out with this group of kiddos and knowing this would be her last year with the group made it sort of bittersweet.  I am so thankful for this group of kiddos and teachers for loving on my girl and so glad we got to spend an afternoon digging for diamonds...I mean does it get better than that (probably best if I don't answer, it was a long day in the dirt!?)

Our face we are going to make if we ever find a diamond...sad thing is we barely broke the dirt.

A little after digging treat for these two ladies.

That weekend we went with the Wilson's to Disney On Ice for another go...I must admit this one had it all.  It was really entertaining and brought all new characters and story lines.  It was a fun afternoon with some of our favs!
The next weekend we got to celebrate another one of our favorites!  Miss Aimee is getting married and these girls are so excited to get to be with her on her big day!  I attached just a few of my favorite pics from over the years with these girls.  I am sure there are many more on my blog.

We hosted a shower for her at our home one Sunday afternoon.  We tried to include some of her favorites like vanilla cake, and punch and even threw in a few special gifts from the girls.
We even played a few games to see who knew the bride the best?!

We gave her the flower arrangement so we went with some potted plants.  B even decorated one for her for a keepsake.
The most delish cake from Amanda Lance..
AB recreated their engagement photo and we framed it for the two of them.  She even used it the night of the wedding which was so sweet.

It was a great afternoon celebrating with this young lady as she is about to marry the man of her dreams!
And back for round two of tball pics of these girls!
Then on to Lila and June's recital in Little Rock!
Followed by a night at the field for the girls first trip (at least that they remember) to a Traveler's game!

And on to a Geology party for Lila on Sunday.  We even brought our cousin Max for the fun that day.  He loved it!
Geo time!

It was such a cute party...I just wish I had pictures of the cool geo cake.  it was awesome.
And back to more at bats for this little softballer.  She really tried this year on the pitching machine.  She got a few hits and some outs but she seemed to be getting the hang of it by the end.

And back to some more pics from the party playing with cousins..thanks to my aunt for grabbing these memories for me.

A little bear vs. ninja!
And finally my little B's 1st grade end of the year program.  The class sang several hymns for us.  They really did a great job and she seemed to really know the words which impressed this mom!

Just a few of her cheering section with Nicki and Pop there.

And a few pics of my girl as she got a chance to play 2nd base this year a few times.  She really loves getting in on the action when she can!

And now for the end of the year...sad face!

Easter 2018

I really have gotten behind on my blogging so this will be very short and sweet in an attempt to get caught up.  I pick up where we left off after spring break with B losing her tooth.  We arrived home that night for her to begin getting ready for bed.  I told her it was time to put her tooth under the pillow and this is exactly what she had to say about it.  I sure hope it plays because this is a keeper among videos for sure!  After the video we begin Palm Sunday week until Easter celebrating our Risen Lord, Jesus with family, friends and our church.  These people keep us grounded and our the constant reminder in my life of Jesus love for us and sacrifice so that we may have eternal life.  So proud of these girls for their commitment to our church and to their Jesus as well!

Palm Sunday we got to enjoy a few songs these kiddos had been practicing for weeks on Wednesday nights.  They did a great job!
Cute little bday party for Miss Olivia.  They made the cutest door hangers!
Just a little afternoon with dad before mom got to town...They look way to excited to be going in this place!  I think it has something to do with all the snacks and ice cream they get while they are there!
Easter sacks from Sheshe and Bobo.  They always look forward to what they will find in these.  They always get a cute swimsuit for summer and lots of cool gadgets and of course candy!
The egg dying has begun for 2018...this year the new thing is whipped eggs not sure what that is all about but we gave it a try.

The Easter bunny left tracks through the house this year...the girls didn't know what to think when they had to clean that up!  He led them all through the house on quite the hunt for all their eggs they had died.  It ended at their baskets filled with goodies that they had to share with me of course!

This year the church hosted the Easter Egg hunt right before services and these kids were on it.  They picked up what looked like a million eggs scattered not hidden all over the ground!  They really earned that candy.

Pictures with cousins and Nana and Pop in front of the cross...reminding us of what a joyful morning it is indeed.  Kind of weird how with no filter at all the sky seems so vivid....I think that is all the proof we need of his power at work in our lives each and every day not just today.

Lunch for the family at my house this year...and yes those are paper plates. #justkeepingitreal!

A little cousin fun one weekend.

Tball is in full swing!

End of the year shenanigans have started!
My big 41 party...not quite as fun once you are over the hill!  Thanks to all that came and to those not pictured!

Just a little photo with the new head coach of the Hogs while Mitch and i were attending a little gathering in Texarkana to meet and greet him.
