Girls Weekend...finally

Some of my friends and I finally got together last weekend. It was so nice to get some girl time. We had such a good time catching up and hanging out. We had all these plans of shopping and things to do and instead we just sat and talked all day. We stayed up late in our pjs just like old times. Thanks to Jess for putting us up for the night! The next night Mitch and I even got a get away with some friends to Shreveport. It has been awhile since we have been there it was a nice little getaway.

I could explain this picture but it would take too long so just us being stupid sums it up.

Christmas Parade

Addie Blaire went to her 2nd Christmas parade this year and I think it may have lasted a little longer this year than last. We went a little early and played with several kids around the location where we waited. She was running around like a wild woman . She even walked up to a little girl that I didn't know and she introduced herself for the first time to someone. It was so sweet she walked up to the little girl and pointed to herself and said Addie. The little girl just looked at her a little funny probably because she was quite a bit older but it made me want to cry! She is getting so big, I am trying to savor every moment of it!

Waiting for the parade to start. .. The anticipation was too much for me! (By the way i hate to say it but I think she is looking more like me, to all those that have been on Mitch's side the past year or so. Just look at that profile almost like looking in a mirror. (yeah right, well maybe a little bit!)

Robbie had the best set up at his office so the kids had fun running around this crazy thing. I have seen some blow up toys, but this one takes the cake!
I can't believe I am posting this picture because I look like the Joker in this, (note to self to tame down the cheese next time) it was just the only picture I have of Griffin and Addie Blaire both looking at the camera at the same time. Thanks to Dr. Carter for getting there attention.
She is really starting to come around to Ronnie lately. I just love that laugh. I still have to catch it on video and post because I know that is one thing that I will never get tired of hearing.
I am still trying to impove my photography skills. I have a wonderful subject to try it out on though! I really love this hat because it brings out those baby blues!!

I want Addie Blaire to remember what long and beautiful eyelashes she had one day which is why I am posting this picture.

All dressed up...

I just wanted to post a few pictures of her in her church clothes. She looked so precious all dressed up in her coat and hat that day. I had to take some pictures of it. I also was told by Angie that I had to write about the fact that she is sporting some new tights. I couldn't find Addie Blaire's tights that morning and we were in a hurry to get to church as usual so in a pinch I decided to dress her in my knee socks. They worked quite nicely I think and noone would have known a difference had I not told myself.

Tutus and Tieras!

Addie Blaire recently went to a Tutu party for her friend Ellie. She really had a great time, playing with all the big girls. I wasn't sure how she would do because she was a little younger the the rest of the crowd but she fit right in. She really enjoyed watching all the little girls play and dress up. She also loved all the food!!! She was the only one that pretty much sat at the table and had herself a meal! She hasn't quite hit that phase where she doesn't like to eat yet!! Not sure if she ever will??

She was all about Miss Helen Clark and all her cute jewelry and beads. She is such a sweetie and was so sweet with Addie Blaire!

I love this outfit. It might be one of my favorites she looks so old though. Here she is eating at the big girl table. She was the only one eating but that didn't stop her!
Okay so now she is getting the hang of this whole party thing. She got right in there and was going for the toys with all the big girls.

Christmas Card 2008 Pics

I am really behind but the past few weeks have been a little crazy with work, and the holidays! I have been trying to complete my shopping while decorating our condo all over again. I must say that I will probably never build a house, I never knew all the decisions that had to be made and it is was more than I can handle right now. I have no idea how this place is going to look when we are done! I had the hardest time taking pictures this year because Addie Blaire has had her 1st ear infection and we couldn't get outside to take any pictures because it has been so cold! So Mitch and I decided to line her up in front of our kitchen wall and take some pictures. She is not really into standing in one place these days so we came up with the idea to tell her to go touch the wall and turn around. When she turned around I was waiting there to take the picture. The trick was that Mitch had to actually race her to the wall to get her to chase him and then he had to jump out of the way so I could take the pictures. It was really hilarious actually. I am sure it would have been much funnier to send out the video of us trying to take the picture vs. the actual pics. Here are a few of my favorites:

We started out in front of this window, I can't imagine why we had to switch the setting of the picture. Could it be the extradorinary dirty window in the background with all the handprints?!
I did make this tutu also it was quite full!! She had a little trouble walking around in this one so I had to cut it off after the pics. She was getting so tickled with herself and all the craziness because Zoe kept getting in the way and I was having to hold her down while I took the pictures with one hand. (pretty talented I know.)
This was my favorite picture, I wish it had been a little bigger on the actual card because she was so happy in this one and on the card it is so small you can't really see it well. She is doing "the Mitch" as my dad calls it. She gets really excited and starting shaking her hands. It is something that Mitch, Addie Blaire, Mason, and even Mitch's grandfather all do. It is too cute!

I think that this picture was pretty cool because she was checking herself out and she couldn't get over seeing herself. She likes to check herself out, (she gets that from her dad i guess!!)

My sweet little elf! Thanks to Nana for the extra cute hat! Addie actually it getting so used to the hats these days that she wears them all the time at home.
I decided this year to break down and buy the inflatable "ho, ho" as Addie Blaire calls him. My sister has given me a little grief over this guy, but I just tell her it is amazing the things I said I would never do that I am doing all for the sake of this little girl.

Pigtails!

I just had to post some pics of Addie Blaire's first pigtails. She finally has enough hair for them!!

My little chatterbox.

I just wanted to post a little about some things that Addie Blaire is doing these days. I am so proud of her for all that she can do and say these days. She is almost 18 months now and weighs about 25.5 lbs. (I promise Addie I won't post this once you get a little older) She is talking all the time. She was on the way to the doctor last week and in the car she looked at me and said ear hurt. Sure enough because of her saying that I had the doctor look in her ear and she had an ear infection!! It is so nice that she can talk now because it makes it so much easier at times like this when she doesn't feel good. However I did learn one new thing about her. She can't take Benedryl. She apparently has the opposite effect than others and it wires her!! She didn't sleep for like 24 hours after taking several doses of it!! I was shocked because it knocks me out! She also is saying sentences now. She will get a ball and say "I got it!" She can almost say any name I ask her to say too! She saw a dog today and its name was Tiger. She looked at me and said "Mommy where is Pooh?" It was the cutest thing ever. She is so smart to make the connections that she does with objects that go together. She also can talk on the telephone now. I was in Dallas last week for a meeting and she and Mitch called me when she got on the phone she said "hello, mommy" I was ready that second to drive home and hug her. It is so much harder being away from her these days. Especially because Mitch said she walked around that entire day asking for me. Saying "Where's mommy" (she also does this adorable thing with her arms where she makes the gesture about a question like where" she tilts her head and throws those arms out) I guess she is going to be very animated when she talks. I don't know where she gets that from?? She can also count to 10. I mean it. She really counts to 10 and she can say part of her alphabet too! I am so proud of her. The kind of scary thing is she can understand what we are saying now. For instance, I asked her to go get me a diaper the other day out of her room. She looked at me went into her room and a few seconds later emerged with a diaper and said "here's diaper mommy." I am having so much fun with her because her personality is showing though more and more everyday. I can't wait to see what she is going to say and do next!

Addie Blaire is sporting here winter gear. She went with Angie, Griffin and I shopping in Texarkana. The kids did not care for the shopping much but sure did love Chick fil A playground which is where we ended up after about 30 minutes of trying to shop!
Poor thing she has the brightest blue eyes but as soon as she gets outside they completely disappear. She is so sensitive to light. We are going to have to get that baby some sun shades!
This is kind of what I mean about the arm expressions, she was talking when this pic was taken and is asking me "where's kitty cat?" (Too bad you can't see the cute argyle socks she was sporting.)

Thanksgiving!

Mitch, Addie Blaire and I spent the holiday with my family this year. We tried to work out the schedule with Terri this year now that she is a married woman and it ended up with us being in Arkadelphia. We went on Wednesday, we had to go to Hot Springs first to check out the condo. It is finally getting rebuilt. We have walls now!! Then we spent the night with the family. It was really nice because this was the first year in a long time that we were able to watch Macy's because we are usually on the go from place to place. Growing up that was my favorite thing about the day!! So Addie Blaire got to watch it this year. All of my family came to my parents house and it was lots of fun!
Addie Blaire has been sick, which is part of the reason that I haven't posted in a while. She has been battling an ear infection (this was her 1st one!) and the "croup" as the doctor calls it. I feel so bad for her because she has been coughing so bad it keeps her up at night. I know she doesn't feel good because she just isn't being herself lately. However she was a trooper for Thanksgiving! I am so thankful that she seems to on the road to recovery slowly but surely!

Addie's play area at Nana and Pop's house. It is so nice because mom kept all of my toys and to see her enjoying playing with them is so sweet! I had this fisher price barn and animals that is her favorite toy. She is playing with my old cow too.
The cow follows her whereever she goes...The guys went to the farm for a while, so did all the dogs. It was pretty funny to see all the dogs with the guys loaded up. Bracy and Bufford, Dad, Mitch, and Zoe, and Caro and Hunter.

Addie Blaire needed to show Pop how to brusha, brusha, brusha!!
Mom's old rocking chair fits just perfectly!

We hung out in our pjs all morning and watched the parade, it was so nice!

Addie Blaire loved all the Thanksgiving food!! She really liked the peas, pink salad, mashed potates, and green bean casserole. She also really likes to do it all by herself. (notice the spoon in hand.) She is getting very independent these days!
Hanging out with Aunt Marcia!
Aunt Bettye is a librarian so she was a great teacher to learn to read books.

My grandparents brought Joy there little dog and she was a big hit with Addie Blaire.

Since she is the only baby in the family right now she was in her element because she was the center of attention. She really put on a show for everyone even though she wasn't feeling great from her ear infection! Here she is counting to 10 for Cousin Aaron, Monica, Kyle and Grandma.

A picture of my mom's side of the family, with sister and 2 of her 3 sons. My granparents who made the trip up for the day. We were so glad to they were able to make it for the day.
My sweet little girl showing that beautiful smile . She is cutting 4 more teeth right now in the middle of all the other illnesses she seems to be battling. But because she is such a sweetheart she still continues to smile throughout it all!
