Our last week as a family of 3!!!! (oh, and a little extra news)

I can't believe it as I type that heading!! I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he is inducing me bright and early Monday morning!! It feels so weird to have an end date now, I guess that is what I was wanting to hear but I can't really believe that the time has come. I have been trying to stay closer to Hot Springs now so it is making getting things done around the house a little harder this week. I came home today to get my bags packed, Addie's packed and make sure my husband hadn't run off and left me!!! I was relieved to see that he is still hanging around and just as nervous and excited as I am. I wanted to post a few pictures of some of our last activities before the baby gets here.

Addie had her first homework for school today. We had to decorate her "B" bear for circle time. each child had to decorate a bear and so we decided on a baby bear. She dressed it in her dolls clothes and diaper. We even included a lipstick kiss (she just wanted an excuse to put on lipstick I think.) I think we did pretty well considering the amount of time we had to get it done this morning. She is really enjoying school and was so glad to be going back today. It makes me so happy that she wants to go and seems to be learning so much. She has even memorized the whole "bear hunt" song. She is great at doing all the motions and remembering each obstacle. On a side note just a cute little story about Addie. She got to go to the doctor with me this week and she decided to carry on quite the conversation with him. Well as we were leaving she asked me "mommy can I push the button on the alligator (elevator)" Too funny.

Mitch and I attended our first Razorback game this weekend in Little Rock. I wasn't sure til the day of if I was going to make it, but Saturday rolled around and still no baby so I said why not. Really glad though that my thoughts of taking Addie along did not come to pass because it was so stinkin HOT!! I know she would have been miserable and we would have been so crammed in our seats that it would not have been much fun for any of us. Mitch has assured me that she will make it to a game this year though, regardless of baby. I want her to go so badly because she has been wanting to wear her Razorback dress that I bought her every time we talk about a football game. She also informed us that this year "she will not cry when the Razorback gives her a high five" Last year the mascot gave her quite a scare so she promised us this year would be different!! The game was fun, we did a little tailgating before and as you can tell by the pictures Mitch's sweat and my eventual ponytail it was hot. This didn't bother me so bad at first it wasn't until we sat down in our seats that it became pretty miserable. Something was wrong with our row because there were four of us (me, mitch, ben, and mary) squeezed into 3 spots. I also forgot the lack thereof of leg room at war memorial. My legs swoll up like tree logs!!! Finally the poor woman in front of me (whom I am sure was tired of hearing me complain) scooted over and let me prop up my feet!!! Thank you whoever you were because you were a life saver. I seriously thought my calves might pop out of my jeans like the incredible hulk if it were not for her!! So Britann baby, you made your game for the year! Good times, fun times. (38 weeks by the way!)

Friday night we attended the Springhill football game. Yes, as you maybe guessing I was trying everything in my power to will myself into labor. Addie had been wanting to go and watch the cheerleaders, mainly Mackenzie, so we decided to take her. She really enjoyed it, she and Grif played their own form of tackle football on the sidelines (notice the red faces in the pictures) and then Addie would take breaks to dance with the cheerleaders every time the music came on. She seemed really interested in the cheerleaders, so that was cute to watch.

Dont' let the dress fool you this kid can take a man down. She gave Grif a run for his money on getting tackled, which her dad was proud to see!

Only 4 more days til Britann is here, please keep us in your prayers this week!! I am definitely starting to getting a little freaked out and nervous. I just pray for the arrival of a healthy and happy little girl!! God bless!!!
As for the extra news, my sister came by my parents on Sunday and we had all gathered there to find out what she was having. She had her appointment last week and had kept it a secret from us all!! So sneaky that one. Anyways, she had made cupcakes with pink and some with blue icing on top. She had filled each one with the color of the baby. We each went around picking a color which luckily she had lots of blue ones because we all knew it was a boy!! My dad and Addie were the only ones to pick pink and guess what..... they were right!!! Aunt T is having a little girl!!!! I was in shock, Mitch and I had both already decided 100% boy. I guess my dad has just resigned to the fact that he is going to be forever surrounded by girls!! And Addie well I would like to think she has some premonition(?) because she said all along I was having a girl too, but I also think the pink icing had something to do with it if I am being completely honest! Anyways, we are so excited for Baby Cross and I can't wait to meet her in early February!!

Baby Bobo #2 has a name, Finally!!

So I haven't posted much on my pregnancy lately and I was feeling kinda guilty about that I guess. I see all these others that are so good to put the weekly updates and such on their blogs and I aspire to be that good, but I just can't seem to get it done!! I am so excited to meet the newest member to our family. So I have really tried to step back and enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy. (Well at least when I'm not running to the bathroom or flipping back and forth in bed trying to get some sleep. )
I realize that I am not the most public person when it comes to my feeling or emotions when I blog. I guess I just try to recreate the memories for Addie to have one day. Which is why posts like this are a little harder for me. But here I go!
I am now 37 1/2 weeks along (yes, at this point I am now counting the half's too!) I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said I was dilated to almost a 2!! Which I think took me by surprise because I wasn't expecting that at all since I never dilated with Addie. Anyways, the doctor and I had some discussions about whether it was safe to come back home considering I am using a clinic in Hot Springs. He said that he thought I was fine for the rest of the week and next week we would just have to talk again!! I now realize that it is really drawing near!! I have been keeping a little journal for the baby, but I also wanted to keep everyone up to date on her expected arrival.
We have finally and I do mean finally come up with a name for Baby B. After much thought on the issue, notice I said thought and not talk because I can't say that we did a lot of discussing this time around. I guess we both just liked the name or two that we came up with and so as much as I went back and forth looking into other names they just didn't seem to fit. I can't understand how that seems to work, but it was the same with Addie. I just didn't feel like some of the names were her. And before I actually settled on a name the doctor was sweet enough to let me back in last week just to make sure it was a girl we were still dealing with!! I guess everyone around me had been guessing boy because they said I was carrying low and it had me a little freaked out after my shower and all the cutsie girlie things I had received. So once we got that out of the way Mitch and I decided on Britann Mitchell Bobo. I have always liked the name Britton ( I think that is how it is most commonly spelled) but when looking through a name book one day I came across several other spellings and this one stood out because my mom's middle name is Ann. So thus it became Britann. As for the Mitchell well, as most have guessed it is from her daddy. And yes we did decide to use it now because at this point we are not planning on a baby Bobo #3! Mitchell is actually Mitch's granddad's middle name and his (Mitch's) middle name is Logan which came from his other grandfather. Since he really liked the idea behind his name we went with the Mitchell portion. His dad's side has already used the Logan so it seemed like a nice fit. Plus my middle name is Michelle so I look at it like a nice little compromise on us both! I am so excited to finally have a name and one that Addie has finally come around to also. She wasn't so sure about it at first she had a few others that were higher on the list but not so sure that her little sister would have been thanking her for.
So hopefully next time I post we will have some good news to come!! I am so excited for Britann to join our family and we can not wait to meet her!! Please keep us in your prayers in the coming weeks as we pray for the safe and healthy arrival of our precious baby girl!

First Day of Preschool!

This was Addie's first week of preschool and she was super excited to go! I had been talking it up all week because I wasn't sure how she would feel about the change. She has been in such a familiar environment for so long that I was a little nervous. I am sure it helped that her best buddy "Grif" went also. She went right in and didn't hesitate to join in playing with the other kiddos. I was a little surprised and maybe a little sad because it didn't bother her in the least for me to leave!!! I know that is supposed to be a good thing but it also made me sad that she is growing up. The first day went pretty well. The teacher said that she didn't sleep that well at nap time but said that was to be expected. She gets to take her own backpack and she even got to help say the prayer before lunch (or so she says.) The teacher did tell me that she was trying to get her to eat cucumbers and Addie looked at her and said "Um, I have never had those before and I am pretty sure they make me sick!" I thought that was hilarious. She seems to be really enjoying it but she sure is tired when she comes home. She is not used to being that busy all day. She did get to take "the goodie bucket" home and we put her favorite snack, pictures of her family and her favorite book in it for her to show the class. She thought that was pretty cool. I am so excited that she had such a good week and I can't wait to see what this year brings!

Baby Shower!

I had a get together (shower) in Hope this last week. It was so much fun and I was so excited to get to celebrate the arrival of baby B in a few weeks. (I was 36 weeks at the time of the shower.) We decided just to have the get together on a week night and the girls had Mexican food catered in, which is my favorite!! It was great to get to visit and hang out for the night. I had asked them for no formal shower, which made it even that much more comfortable for us all. It was so nice of everyone to come and it was great to just sit around and catch up all while opening some of the most adorable gifts for baby B!

The girls had the most beautiful arrangement on the table.
The pedifores (I know that is not spelled right but even spell check didn't know how) were precious and not to mention delicious!!

Me and my mommy!!

Me and my sweet, beautiful, caring, hilarious sister in law (i only meant one of those but I know she reads this so I just wanted to make her feel good.) Just kidding Bran!! She and Mason came down and spent the night. It was so sweet of her to make the trip and I really appreciated it!

Unfortunately, I didn't take too many pictures of the guests, but here are a few.

The sweet hostesses that made it such a wonderful night for everyone. Especially me, considering they had my favorite food catered in, MEXICAN!!!

Me and my mother in law (otherwise known as "G")

My sweet mom had to leave the shower a little early. Unfortunately, my grandmother had fallen outside her home and she had to be taken to the hospital. She is doing much better but it gave us all quite the scare that night. She broke her nose and had to have a few stitches but should be fine in a few weeks. With all that being said, my mom did not get to see me open my gifts and so she missed the expressions on everyone's faces when I pulled this out. She had my baby outfit dry cleaned and wrapped. It was quite special to say the least, but the best part by far is the plastic lined bloomers!! I bet those were really comfy back in the day!

I hadn't planned on Addie attending the shower so she was swimming with several kiddos back at the house when I called to ask Mitch to bring her over. I don't think that went very well with her at first because she didn't want to leave all the fun, but once she arrived and saw the reason that I had called for her she changed her mind! Several of the girls had brought her big sis gifts, so she racked up on some cool toys and gear!

She also proved to be a big help in opening the baby's gifts also!!

I forgot to take any pictures during the shower of all the cute goodies I received. So when I got home I tried to take a few pictures of some of it. My mom and I had already put some of it away (which is a whole other story about what we have going on around the house.) Here are a few pictures of some of the cute gear. I had decided on a baby name (which I will post more about on next post) and mentioned to several girls that I didn't have any monogrammed items, well they took care of that!! She will definitely know her name. I got some precious diaper covers, burp clothes, blankies, pacifiers, bags and most important diapers!!!! Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful gear this baby is certainly going to feel the love once she decides to arrive!!

She got her very own pair of jeggings!! A must this season!

I was so excited to get this blankie because Addie has one like it and she carries it everywhere, so I could have forseen a few squabbles over it had baby B not gotten one too!

I am loving this matching bow, I see many pictures coming in this!
