1 month

My bright eyed angel is 1 month today!! I am so proud of this sweet little girl. She has added so much to our family. I am so glad to see her growing and showing more personality each day. She smiles now!! She is weighing around 7 lbs. right now. She is still sleeping most of the night. She is just really late to go to bed. She goes to sleep at about 11 pm and then wakes at 3 and 6 for feeding. She is taking a good 3 or 4 ounces every bottle now. Such a big girl!!

I got sick last weekend and was running a fever so my mom came down on Saturday and took Addie to a birthday party for me. They had a great time at Jumpin Apes from what I hear.

She was doing her newest song, 5 little pumpkins. It is so cute she knows it word for word. I am so excited to talk with her each day I pick her up because it seems she is learning something new everyday. She now knows her days of the week too.

Got hogs? We have plenty of hog gear so be prepared each week to see some!

Addie helped me give Britann her first bath in a real bath tub. She had such a good time and let me tell you that baby was clean when she was done with her!

Big sister, little sister!

I can't wait to take another picture of these two and watch them grow up.

Finally i am catching some pictures of those big eyes, still yet to be determined what color??

1 month. This was the only big stuffed animal we had so she will have plenty of time to outgrow this guy!

Weeks 1-2

Well as usual I am way late to post about the first few weeks at home. I am pretty sure too that all these pictures are a little out of order, but I think that will be the case from here on out considering the way my mind works lately!! We are enjoying our time with Britann so much. Addie has really taken to her. The first week or so was a little unsure, especially about how she felt about me holding the baby all the time, but she has definitely come around. She is even trying to help feed and bath her now. Britann had a rough couple of weeks at first when it came to sleeping. She loved to sleep during the day but not so much at night. She did eventually by about the end of week 2 or 3 start to go down about 11 or 11:30pm and then would wake about 2 or 3 for a feeding. She is taking about 2 ounces at this point in time. She was having some problems with gas but we are working on those by keeping her upright and me watching what I am eating!! We have had so many visitors and it has been so great. I don't think I having literally cooked a meal in the past 4 weeks!! At the end of week 2 or 3 I had a job interview in Little Rock. This was Britann's first time to go to Arkadelphia. My mom watched her during the interview and then I came back that afternoon. The company actually asked me to come back the next day for a second interview. I wasn't planning on staying that night but Britann and I did and she did great. I am sure she will love staying at Nana and pop's just like Addie does. The good news is that after a 3 hour interview on Friday the company offered me the job!!! I start the 1st of November. I will be making a move from pharmaceuticals to selling specialty products to stores. I am really excited for the change but am a little said the opportunity came a little sooner than I was wanting. I wish that I had just a few more weeks at home with Brit. I love her so much and have enjoyed every second of being with her. I am going to do everything in my power to make this all work and still get as much time with her as possible. Here are a few pics of my newest sweet angel.

She is not quite sure about this swing. Her little head just won't stay up.

She does however love her bouncy seat. Just look at those cute little chicken legs. I love them but can't wait to see her put on some wait and have some thunder thighs real soon!

Big sister is a big fan of helping give her a bottle. I looked over and she was giving her the last of an old bottle. Not quite what I would have liked but with that precious smile I was quick to forgive her!

I had to put this outfit on her the other day when we had some friends coming over for the game. This is from my friend Renee, who was a cheerleader. She gave this to Addie and I couldn't resist another picture in it.

I taught Addie that it is best not to rub all over sister, which she listens to sometimes. I showed her how the baby would grasp her hand if she gave it to her. I think she gets a thrill out of her reaching for her now. I caught this picture and just thought it was too sweet.

This is a pose I feel like we see alot of these days. The good ole burp. She is not the easiest to burp for one she is the squirmiest baby I have ever tried to hold. She is very strong for such a little one. Secondly, she does not seem to burp very easily. It takes us several minutes to get a burp out of her if at all.
My grandmother finally got to see her. She had not been feeling too well after her fall, but made it up anyways. She did a great job with Britann. I am so glad they finally got to meet!

Grandma Bobo and Britann at the office. I know that these two hit it off well because Mamaw's favorite thing to do is rock babies and this one was all to glad to let her.
I just can't help myself every time I walk past her and she is sleeping so soundly I just have to take a picture.

Because just as soon as that is over this is what i see "feed me mommy!"

At a little over 1 week, her first outing to the fair parade. She slept through the whole thing which is hard to believe with all the bands and sirens!!! Maybe that is what we need around the house at night!

A nice man in the parade on his horse stopped to let Addie get on!

The next night my mom came down so that Mitch and I could take Addie to the fair. She had a great time. It is just a little tough though because she is not quite big enough to ride on her own so Mitch and I took turns with her. She and Grif checking out the food, my favorite part!

This was one of those rides that spins around and I don't think Angie or I were quite ready for it! I was feeling a little light headed, probably not something the doctor would have ordered.

Getting the motor going.

She loved the bumper cars. I don't know if she did though as much as daddy. He and Ronnie had a contest in there trying to get each other. Doing it for the kids I'm sure.

This was more her speed I think.

Aunt Brandee, Mark and Mason came that weekend to stay with us. Mason did a great job holding the baby. I was so glad they came down because it helped to have the extra hands plus it made Addie's week to know that Mason would be coming!! She loves that kid.

Nona came to see Addie, she hadn't seen her all summer and I know that Addie had missed seeing her since her husband passed away. She got to meet the new addition and even brought me my favorite turnips and turnip greens!

This was before the Alabama game, good thing we took pictures before or we might not have taken them after the game!! The outfit is still a wee bit big on her!

These are my to date all time favorite pictures of my girls!!! I just love that big smile!!! I can't get enough of these two!

My aunt Melinda, and cousins Abbey and Lindsey came down on Sunday and spent the afternoon with us. It was so great to have so many of my family members that never have a reason to come down this way make the trip. I am so glad you guys came and I can't wait to start utilizing your babysitting skills!!

Just hanging out with the family!

It just wouldn't be right to not post the first picture at Target!! It will be the first of many for this little one.

Britann Mitchell Bobo is Here!!!

I guess the title is not quite fitting considering she is now 3 weeks old!! But thus is the life of a busy new mom. I will say the past few weeks have flown by, and considering the amount of the days for which I am awake that is kind of crazy to believe!! I have been a little surprised to find out busy 2 is versus 1!! Even my mom who was with us for several days said "I can't believe we together can't even get one load of laundry done!" It has been so wonderful, all the visitors the solid 3 weeks of food that has been coming to the house almost every night! I have loved having all the company and I will try to post pics of that soon! I for the time being just want to focus on Britann's arrival into the world and our excitement to finally meet her. It all began this way.....

The last day before the baby arrived that we had to spend together was spent much like that one before Addie was born...on the lake!! The only exception was Addie was there to spend it with us. We took her on a boat ride and she and daddy even swam in the lake!! It was so nice to relax with my family especially to keep my mind off of what was to come.

Mitch and I arrived at the hospital at 5:30 am on September 20, 2010. Addie stayed with her G at the condo. As soon as we arrived they started hooking me up to machines, getting my line in and then before I knew it the doctor arrived to break my water!! Not fun by the way! After an hour or so they started the medicine to get the contractions going and before I knew it at about 8 am I was getting my epidural!!! From then on things were good!! Actually I take that back I got pretty nauseous and everyone left the room for a bit. I think it was a combo of the medicine and the ice I was downing at the time. The contractions increased but at about 11 am the baby's heart rate started to drop. The doctor and nurse were concerned and this had actually happened with Addie also so they stopped the medicine and just waited to see what would happen. Oddly enough, the contractions kept going on there own and I was ready to push at about 12:30pm!! Britann Mitchell Bobo was born at 1:37pm. She weighed in at a mere 6 lbs 7 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long!! I breathed a sigh of relief and thanked God for my little miracle!!!!

My first picture holding the most precious little angel!
Daddy holding Britann for the first time!
Aunt Brandee was so great through the whole delivery doing anything I asked. I really was so glad she was able to be there with us!! I think of her like another sister to me so it would have seemed incomplete without her there. Poor girl, she is the only one that listened to the nurse and wore the gown!

Aunt T made it just as the baby arrived. She had to teach and couldn't leave that morning so her timing was pretty perfect. It was pretty cool during my labor, when Mitch and I were the only ones in the room she called. She wanted her 1st grade class to sing Britann the birthday rap for her arrival. I guess the emotions of the moment (because it came at a time when the doctor was a little concerned about the baby's heart rate) was perfect. I cried through the whole thing! It was so sweet to have her welcomed in by a classroom of screaming 6 year olds!!

Bobo and Pop took care of Addie during the delivery so G could be at the hospital. They brought her in just as the rest of the family was seeing her for the first time. I love this picture cause you can see how happy Bobo is that she is here too. I know how worried he was about the whole process so I can definitely see the relief in his face!

The first time big sis met her baby sister. There is nothing like this moment! I don't even have to post about the emotions that were going through me at the time because I know I will never forget them. I was so proud to finally have Britann here and to be blessed with a big sis like Addie is the best present that I could give her!!

Checking it all out! She kept asking if she was going back in my belly!! Too funny, but thank goodness the answer was no!!

The coolest big sis in the world! I love this kid!
As the coolest big sis it was only fitting that she have a bag full of treats and good eats!! I guess some would call that bribery or something but she deserves to feel special, simply because she is!!
She couldn't wait to try out all the new toys and especially the blow pops!

My dad was still a little hesitant to pick her up so this was the best pic I got. I am not worried though because he did the same thing with Addie and since the moment he picked her up he hasn't stopped to put her down!! I love you dad!

Getting my first sugars!! Or as G says "sucking that head like a crawfish!"

I just love this little hospital outfits and hats! This was the most alert I believe she was the entire stay at the hospital!

I guess as they say the bonding that happens immediately can't be denied. If you had told me that I could love this new baby as much as the first I don't think I would have believed there was enough room in my heart after Addie was born, but guess what I was so wrong!! I must say that my heart just got 10 times bigger when Britann arrived.

I have to talk about the fact that I have by most accounts the most wonderful husband. I don't normally or so freely say it, as he reminds me, but it is so true!! He was such a blessing during the delivery, he stayed right with me encouraging me and loving me. I can't say how much more at ease that made me feel. He has never backed away from all the stress and baby duty since then. Even in the hospital he waited on me hand and foot, even renting us a movie to watch every two hours during the night when the baby would come to feed!! He has gotten up with me, he has changed diapers, he has been a consistent figure in Addie's world and for all those reasons and more I truly love this man!!!!
This was just the sweetest picture of the girls. It had been a rough night for Addie the night before having to leave mommy and sister at the hospital. Mitch said she didn't sleep well that night at the condo thinking about us being gone. So the next day when he brought her back we all decided to take a nap together.

My family of four!!

Big sis couldn't wait to hold her, and she did such a good job!! I have such a big helper in Addie that I can't deny. She doesn't mind helping mom out and I could sure use all the help I can get right now.

G" holding baby Britann. She came by the hospital the second night to check on us and she still had not gotten a chance with the craziness of the day before to hold her for the first time. I am so lucky to have such great grandparents for my two girls!!!

Getting ready to leave the hospital on Wednesday. It took us a little longer than expected. My mom had taken Addie to Arkadelphia the night before and it was a big help. We had several visitors at the hospital that day so I was glad that Addie got to go hang out and have some fun. Plus we might have never made it out of the hospital if she had been there, I forgot how much stuff you have and accumulate while you are there.

This was the precious outfit that Nana got her to go home in. It was a little big considering she is such a peanut. Even her head is small and anyone that knows Mitch and I will definitely not be able to figure that one out!!

I tried so hard to take all the same pictures I did with Addie. I don't know why it matters but it did to me that day, blame it on the hormones. My camera did not cooperate though, so the pictures are a little blurry. This was our home sweet home for 48 hours and they went by to fast. I am a big fan of staying as long as they will let me. I love having the help and support nearby.

Each of the girls now has there very own door decor!

Daddy trying to cheer that sweet baby up. She had been moved around and messed with all she could stand at that point and we still had a long ride home!

Snug as a bug in a rug, as Addie and I would say!!

Leaving the hospital to take baby Brit to her new home. We even did our ritual like with Addie the only stop, Sonic for a large cherry vanilla dr. pepper!! It made the drive home so much more bearable! She did wonderfully on the 1 and 20 minute drive too. She slept the whole way, only a couple of times where that little bobble head got the best of her.
Luckily, my mom was waiting on us. She had come back that morning and brought Addie to school for us since we would be running late. She had even picked up the house a bit since Mitch and Addie had been leaving alone for a few days before! I can't tell you how much help she is, actually I did try and tell Terri but you can't appreciate til the time comes I know. If it weren't for her washing dishes and clothes and picking up my house I don't think I would have made it those first few days. She and G were both a big help too at night when my nerves would get the best of me and when the breastfeeding was not quite working out! I will not post about that though in fear to either scare the mess out of those that have nevered tried and mainly just because it might gross a few out!!! Let's just say there were some issues (but the type A in me didn't quit, even though I sure thought about it)

Home sweet home, I even took her on a video tour of her new home after this.

Those sweet chicken legs. I have got to get another picture with her legs straight out. Those knees you just want to kiss with all those sweet wrinkles. I know they won't be there long at the rate she is eating these days!

Bobo was first to arrive to greet her. He couldn't wait to get his hands on her because he didn't get much of a chance at the hospital either.

Nikki and Pop stopped by a day or so later and I was so glad because Nikki took several pictures for me. I have been a little slow to get that going lately. I can't imagine why!

The first bath or sort of bath. She really liked getting her head wet. The rest of her she was okay with, but this kid is the queen of pee! I have yet to give her a bath where the end result was not her peeing everywhere!

Sunbathing in the window. Yep you guessed it we came home a little jaundice so we sunbath or take walks a couple of times a day!! How sweet is that, even if she is mine!!

Aunt T and Uncle B spent the weekend with us. I am surprised they didn't run in fear of what was to come because Mitch and I defientley didn't hold back!! I think we haven't heard from Bracy since!
More pictures and visits to be posted as soon as possible.
P.S. If there are any mistakes and I am sure there are blame it on lack of sleep!!!!
