Thanksgiving 2013

My little pilgrim would like to invite you to join us for Thanksgiving 2013!
We started it off with the tradition of Macy's thanksgiving parade..my sister and I always got in our jammies and with a glass of hot chocolate in hand we watched the parade from beginning to end.  So I wanted to make sure that the tradition continues with my girls too.
My girl in her new glasses this is the first official unofficial picture of her in her new glasses.  She is really starting to get used to them.  It all started when she had trouble with her sight test at school and so I took her in..not thinking she had any issues because she had never complained about any problems seeing.  When they started the first test I thought she wasn't paying attention because she couldn't name any of the letters when her left eye was covered up but when they switched she was able to rattle them all off.  I realized right then that she had an issue...it is kind of such a crazy feeling not knowing that your child is having issues seeing I felt sooo guilty.  I hadn't clued in that she was having trouble because she was reading so well but she had been overcompensating with her left eye for the right one that had a little farsightness and astigmatism.  So needless to say she is pretty excited about the glassess and mom is getting used to trying to keep up with them!!  (That part may take a while.) But so glad that my baby will be able to see much better now and hopefully her vision will improve with time!

Cousin Mason helping us get ready for Thanksgiving treats... gobble gobble.
Thanksgiving crafts with the cousins.
Our little turkeys were a huge hit!
These are the real thing though...much to our surprise on AB's return to school the whole lot next to her school was covered in turkeys...it ws sooo cool to see them up close and they were tame so they weren't scared in the least.  The kids loved pulling up to school in the mornings to see their new mascots.

And these are the photos my sweet cousin Abby took of the girls for our Christmas cards this year...she did a great job capturing the girls personalities and we had such a great time playing with the girls on the campus of OBU!  This pictures just make me so happy as I look through them all... thanks Abby for capturing the true beauty of these girls through their big hearts and gorgeous smiles!!

AB's school even made a trip to see all those pumpkins.

Mitch and I had a night in Little Rock to see one of my all time favorites..Bon Jovi!!  It was awesome he put on the best concert.. 2 hours of non stop hits!

The princesses walking the plank.

Halloween morning these two are ready to trick or treat!!

Fall carnival at AB's school.  She had a blast with all her friends running around and playing all the games.

We got some of the best news back in November ,  the girls, mom and I went to stay with Aunt T for the weekend and we walked into a great surprise.  Terri had "girls just want to have fun" playing in the background and pink everywhere....I guess the Fowler girl tradition lives on!!!
The next morning we attempted Holiday House..but that was a little short lived in the chaos but we did get some cute pics of these cuties!
and we even ran into a special guy this time of year...Santa!
The next week I had the chance to meet an exceptional musician..actually two.  We hosted David Phelps and his band on campus and he was by far one of the best singers I have ever heard.  He has the most beautiful voice and it was an honor to get to meet him.  Unfortunately my picture was not the best but this is a picture with he and Jack Daniels a local pianist who is actually very renowned even playing at Carnegie Hall.
AB's Thanksgiving program at school.  This was the best picture I got but she was so excited to have a speaking role in the play.  She got to come out and lead the audience in reciting the Christian prayer. She did a great job, so proud of my baby girl.
