My first sucker and New Year's Eve

We went to the country club one night for dinner with several couples and there kids and it turned out great. We are going to have to do it more often because we had the whole area there to let the kids run wild and boy did they ever. The workers even got out the pilate balls and the kids went wild for them. I just had to post a few cute pics of them!
The pigtails are getting funnier and funnier now that her hair is a little longer!
They kids had so much fun bouncing the balls to each other and chasing them around the room.
Aunt Brandee couldn't resist giving Addie Blaire her first sucker!! She loved it!! Surprise, surprise. I think she ate the entire thing. I guess we are going to have to start doing that more often.
New Year's Eve we got together with several couples and their kids since we didn't want to mess with getting a babysitter and it turned out to be one of my favorite New Year's after all. Mitch and I usually make such a big deal about doing something and it never turns out that fun so this year it was nice to cook at home and let the kids play (well the adults may have played the Wii a little bit too) all while wearing jeans and a sweatshirt!!
Addie being held by a friend. I am impressed because I weighed her today and she is 27lbs. (19months)!
She was so interested in the Leap frog. She actually seemed to know how to use it better than I thought she would!
Ringing in the New year a little early. She did actually make it to about 10:30 that night though!
Addie Blaire and mom watching the ball drop at midnight. Well maybe we didn't quite make it!

Christmas Morning

This Chirstmas has been so much fun for Mitch and I. Addie Blaire has been such a joy to watch as she opened her gifts and played with them all. Mitch and I had stayed up all night helping Santa put together all of Addie's toys. I must say it was a very funny experience. She had her gifts from SAnta all layed out the next morning. She got a kitchen from SAnta, and several lother small toys. Mom and Dad got her all the pots and pans, and some really cute wooden fruits and foods that you can cut open with velco. She also got some goodies for her babies like a stroller and bathtub.
Addie seeing her kitchen for the first time.
The kitchen all ready and open for business!
She wanted to help dad open his gifts. He got an Ipod from Addie so he can use it for his running.
Addie trying out her new ride from Bobo for the first time. It is called a tot rod and it fits her just great. A friend had recommended it to me because it is so much smaller than other electric cars and it has a handle on the back with a button so mom and dad can control it until she learns to do it herself. I must say she pushed her button all by herself, only problem is she doesn't hold it down so she could give herself some serious whiplash!
On the road, there is no stopping her now. She and Mason both got cars only difference is he has to get his going on his on. I think they both had a blast! Mitch even joined in on trying Mason's ride.
We went on to my grandparents in Magnolia after that for lunch. She really enjoyed that meal. We were able to get a photo this time with her looking at the camera even. She also told them that she loved them when she left. She has started to say I love you, but instead she actually says "i you". It is so cute and so sweet, we are working on learning to sign it now.
In grandpa's chair, "rockin" as she says it.
Mason got for Christmas this year a fun gift so that night at "g" house the kids tried it out and I have honestly never heard Addie Blaire scream the way she did when we turned this elephant on. It blows butterflies out its nose for the kids to catch and she would get so excited and just squeal and freeze up!! The only problem was having to reload it everyone minute or two. Even cousin Lydia joined in on the fun.
My sweet little angel showing just how exciting this Christmas was for her. She is also wearing the necklace she got from Nana, that she wears all the time now, matching or not!
She actually didn't get this remote control car Mason did but because she loved it so much Nicki and Pop had an extra one and went to get it for her because they felt so bad that she loved Mason's so much and didn't have one of her own. Poor baby she loves those cars and trucks so much!

Christmas Eve at the Bobo's

We went to the Christmas Eve service at church that night. It was a candlelight service and Addie Blaire did okay in there with the big people. She talked a little but nothing to major. Then we went over to the Koger's house for the Bobo christmas party. It was a great place to gather because those kids have all kinds of toys and the kids were in heaven!!

Here she is playing with cousin Lydia in the kitchen good thing she liked it because Santa saw her playing with it and got an idea.
Mason, Katie Ella and Addie Blaire trying everything out.
I loved this dress because Mrs. Bobo got it for her and then I added her polka dot skirt to it for a little extra flair!
Cousin Mason and Addie Blaire opening her present from Lily. She got a princess castle. Mason was a big helper in teaching her just how to do it.
As mentioned earlier, Addie Blaire got a bitty baby doll from her Nana and Pop. Well one reason was because Mrs. Bobo had the idea that because some of the girls already had a doll that she could get them all outfits to match their dolls. So the big idea was to get a picture of the girls in their outfits with their dolls. Well we waited a little late to try this that night it was around 9:00 pm. Addie Blaire was going down fast and was not wanting to put her clothes on. WEll I got her in them and she was crying. I sat her on the couch with the other girls and all of a sudden she came alive. I guess if you don't know the Bobo family there were 30 or so of us there and it is not a quiet bunch!! AS everyone began clapping and cheering for them they all hammed it up, which made it a little harder to get a good shot. Here are a few of them:
She and Mason tickling Uncle Mark.

Christmas Eve at the Fowler's

Since it was our year to spend Christmas in Hope we went to my parent's on the 23rd. We woke up on the 24th just like we would Christmas morning in our pj's to open presents with mom and dad and terri and bracy there too. It was a lot of fun and now that Addie is around I can multiply that by like 100. We started the night off with Mitch opening his present from Addie and myself. We did this partly because we planned on giving it a try later in the night. Actually, much to his surprise I think he got a Wii. I had looked all over for one for him and finally found it that day. We had a lot of fun giving it a try out that night. The whole family joined it!
Aunt Terri always has the coolest surprices she had a nose and ears for Addie Blaire to try!!We were able to talk her into it with a little persuasion but the nose was a little too much to ask for!The next morning as usual mom had outdone herself and had lots of goodies and stockings for everyone. Addison Blaire to my surprise really liked opening presents this year and even loved looking in her stocking to find out what she had. She even started to say "presents" once she got the hang of how cool it was! She is opening her stocking only to find....
One of Nana's alltime favorite stuffers an apple. As with most kids I guess that was the highlight of the morning for her. She was going around looking in everyone else's stockings for theirs. Poor kid, she didn't even notice the candy inside!! (But mom sure did.)
Opening her cd's that Nana and Pop got her. Each one filled with lots of fun kids songs for her to dance to. She really has used this several times since Christmas. Her favorite song is 5 Monkeys jumping in a bed. It could be due to the fact that mom has some crazy motions to it!
This is her pretty pink pearl necklace that Nana and Papa Bill got her. I wasn't sure what she would think of it but I talked it up so much that now she won't take it off and asks for it in the mornings when she wakes up! Too cute.
This is her bitty baby that Nana and papa got for her. It came all the way from Chicago on a plane with my Aunt Bettye. You see they were on backorder to get teh one that matched her my aunt had to go to teh store in Chicago while she was there. SHe was so excited about it. I was a little surprised because she is sort of more into cars because of Griff that she took to it so well. She couldn't wait to get it out of the box.
Meeting each other for the first time. I asked her what she wanted to name it and she said baby, so we'll work on that.
giving it some lovin'
Aunt T and Uncle B got Addie a Cabbage Patch Doll this year. I remember loving mine growing up and I am sure she will too. I had forgotten how great they smelled and how sweet they were. She likes it a lot but is a little jealous of it's paci that she seems to want!

Santa the Scary!

Okay so I tried to take Addie Blaire several times to see the Santa at the mall and she wanted on part of it. So I heard that Santa was going to be at the local Walgreen's the day before Christmas so I thought maybe it was our last attempt to get that picture this year. I also knew it would be a little more remote location than the middle of the mall should she not enjoy this experince. I guess that yes, I am one of those mom's that wanted that picture like it or not! Well as I suspected she wasn't feeling it, but I asked SAnta to bear with me for one maybe two seconds tops and sure enough this is how it unfolded. I put all three pictures up because it kind of looks like a moving picture of exactly how it went down!

She wasn't liking it at all, just barely starting to scream......
now it is getting a little more serious, she's leaning forward ready to bail.....
Now she just wants the heck out of there!! I promise she was fine 2 seconds later when i had her in my armas again. No one was hurt in the making of this film!!! Well maybe Santa would beg to differ.
We made cookies one day while I was home with her. It was so much fun being at home with her for two whole weeks. Angie and I gave Janice those two weeks off and I am so glad to get so much time with her to just hang out. I guess it will be hard to go back to work now. Anyways,k we made cookies by practising our letters. So we made some cookies with "d" for darby kate and "g" for griffin. We went around one day delivering our Christmas presents and cookies. I forgot to take any at darby's but her she is with "Griff" as Addie Blaire so affectionately calls him. She wanted a taste of her cookies too, can you blame a girl for trying. Griff didn't mind sharing though!

The little friends next to the Christmas tree. Thanks to Griff for Addie Blaire's cool dish towels that are monogrammed with "addie's Kitchen on them and her cool dishes to go with her gift from Santa.

She wore her cutest elf shirt in order to fit the part of delivering the toys to her friends.
