Easter 2017

The girls had a little Good Friday fun with Sheshe while mom was at work.
Then that night we cruised the town with these cool cats in Becky's new ride.
And came back home Saturday night just in time to get those Easter eggs ready.  The girls always look forward to what the bunny has in store for them each year.
Emoji faces were the theme this year...here our their best impressions.

The next morning the girls were so excited to see the Easter egg hunt awaiting them.
The trail all led right to this cool stash of goodies.

What they found next to their bed set the hunt in motion.  Our precious bunny cake had been eaten!!
And the bunny had even left them clues by the cake.  Each girl must use their mask and light to lead them on their way through the house.

We all 3 had masks by the bed...mom included!

And they gathered egg after egg in every room.

Until they found their surprise!

And all their favorites were waiting on them inside their baskets.

As soon as we finished up inhaling all the candy we could we got dressed and headed to church.  We were met by the pastor who told the story of Easter to all they children as they awaited the annual East Egg hunt.
And then it was time..and as usual there were plenty of eggs to go around.

Smiles on all the faces

And dad breaking into the stash...and he blames it on me each year!

How cool is the sky in the background...I would like to think it was very much like on that Easter day so many years ago when Jesus arose from the dead.  The sky must have cleared and the sun shone bright for He arose!

#nofilterneeded...how cool is that!

That very same sunshine created a few issues when it came picture time after church but at least we captured the smiles!! :)

We even got Charlie in on a few pictures or for as long as the girls could hold her still.

As soon as church was over we headed to the country club for some family time and the girls decided it would turn into driving lessons so they chauffeured us around the course.

And then we finished off the day relaxing by the pool or hot tub to be exact with Popsicles and old friends.  Great way to end the day!
I am so thankful and grateful for my family and even though it was just my little family of four together that day at church I wouldn't have changed a thing.  I am the first to get caught up in all the rush and worry of everyday schedules..but for this one day we spent it enjoying each other and most of all worshiping the one who made our lives possible...and more importantly FORGIVEN!  So here is to my goal of remembering what really matters in those hectic moments and giving thanks for the way being made easier so that in those not so shiny moments we all have I can wake up each morning and start anew again!
