Vegas Baby!

Mitch and I went with Travis and Natalie Wilson to Las Vegas for our 6th anniversary this year. Each year we have tried to go somewhere special to celebrate another milestone in our marriage, which I think is well deserved each and every year we put up with each for, just kidding :) Anyways we went to Maui for our honeymoon, our 1st year we went to Napa Valley and San Francisco, 2nd year we went back to Maui because I won a trip with work that happened to be that weekend, 3rd we went to San Diego, 4th we went to Dallas because I was 8 months pregnant, 5th we celebrated at the Kentucky derby with the Adam's, and this year Vegas. I wrote all those down so that I will remember that one day myself! We had a great time we stayed at the Venetian and got to hang out at the pool with Beyonce and Jay Z, well sort of. Anyways, it was a great trip for us to relax and eat well and catch up on some sleep!! My favorite past time when I am away. Mitch was also excited because he had reserved a spot at the sports book for the derby race. I knew this year would be hard for Mitch because last year's trip was our last time to see David before he got sick. It couldn't even compare to seeing it last year, but I know that it will always be a time for us to remember our dear friend David.

Natalie had a sweet little set up for us in their room with this awesome souvenir.
Mitch would talk to anyone that would listen about his picks for the race. It's just too bad he didn't pick that 50 to 1 that finished 1st this year.
We went to the Beatles' Cirque de Soleil show. It was awesome, I have actually never seen a bad cirque show. I thought this one was cool though simply because it was set to music that you could enjoy.
Good times, good friends and good food, who could ask for more!! Happy 6th anniversary!

Farm Girl

Mitch, Addie Blaire, and I stopped to visit Nana and Pop, Aunt T and Uncle B at the farm on the way home from Little Rock and I got to take a few pictures of her enjoying the farm. I had also wanted to go by to see the gravesite for our little dog "Caro" My parents had just buried her earlier in the week there. My dog Madison is actually buried next to her at the farm. Caro was 14 years old and unfortunetley got hit by a car a couple of weeks ago. She had started to wander off and my parents got a knock at the door and it was a policeman that had been on the scene where it happened because a young boy had swerved to miss her and had a minor accident in doing so. I know that she will be greatly missed by us all, but is at her favorite place where she enjoyed many hours of running and playing and of course riding in the truck! (Long story you would have to ask my dad about!) Anyways, it was such a beautiful day out there and it always does bring back some great memories to see Addie Blaire out on the farm just like I was at her age. I guess all she needs is the overalls and hat my mom put me in for pictures and she would be set!
Buford (my sister Terri's dog) and Hunter (my parent's dog on the right.) Mitch and Addie Blaire trying out the tractor.
Addie Blaire got her chance to drive for the first time (well not really but don't tell her.) She really enjoyed it once she found the horn! The really neat thing about this jeep is that it used to be my grandpa Fowler's. I remember riding in it when I was a little girl with him, my dad was able to buy it back from a friend that had totally restored it. I am so glad he had that chance, and so are Mitch and Bracy because they are fighting over who gets to drive it these days!
I took this picture the next day after church in our neighbors beautiful yard. I wish their green thumb or at least some of their energy would rub of on me. (Which is why the pictures were taken in there yard and not ours!)

Disney on Ice!

Mitch and I took Addie Blaire to Disney on Ice in Little Rock a couple of weeks ago. She got to go with Mason and I think both the kids enjoyed it. However, I do think I might have been rushing things quite a bit because she was still a little young to sit still for that long though! It was a good thing that we had popcorn and suckers which made it all worth it for her!

I couldn't believe she sat for this picture and actually choose to look at the camera because she doesn't seem to do that much these days! It is so sad because she got her first booboo that day and has two skinned up knees. I felt so sorry for her, but she didn't even cry!
Hanging out with Griffin at intermission. Trying to get into the cool suckers!
This was the cool toy that Dad got her.
Mickey and Minne and all their friends.
As I mentioned earlier the popcorn was as big of a hit as the show! I think she missed about 20 minutes of it while her face was in the popcorn bucket. Oh well, maybe next time.
I included this picture because we went out to Mitch's great grandmother's house the other day and Addie Blaire got to see her great great grandmother. I doesn't happen much these days that there are 5 generations still living so we captured four of the five that day. She is truly a very blessed little girl to have so many that love her!

Easter and My Bday!

Easter morning was fun for us because regardless of the downpour going on outside we still hid eggs inside. A friend had given me the idea to have the Easter bunny leave his eggs at your house that morning hidden for Addie Blaire to find. So she just had to find his eggs inside today because it was too wet for him to hide them outside this year. I fixed up her basket with some of her favorites, M&M's and gummies. After the hunt we went to church in Hope. My parents and Mitch's parents came over for lunch at the house that day for my birthday! My mom also made my favorite dessert as my cake this year. Four layer dessert!!! I love it, she makes it for me every year. She even made an extra because Mitch had invited some friends over for my birthday that night. The only problem was that he invited them over for an egg hunt and then forgot to check the weather so we had 30 something people in our extremely small home, oh what fun!! I think the kids did have fun though just running around and hanging out even if no eggs were found! Looking for her eggs from the Easter bunny.
Not the prettiest background for the pictures this year!
I attached this picture because I started this blog after Easter last year and never got to show Addie Blaire's pictures from last year. I also attached it as a reminder of the special time that Easter will always hold for us because it was last Easter Sunday that Mitch and I joined our church and Addie Blaire was baptized. It was such a wonderful day as we stood at the front of the church and they sang "He Lives". I remember standing there and just crying with joy as they sang. I can think of one verse that keeps coming to mind as I think back to that day and it is "For this is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Happy Easter!
This is the braclet she got from Nana and Pop for Easter.
These are a few pictures from the birthday gathering that night.
Boys will be boys and the Wii is great for them!

My Bday!

Since my birthday was on Easter, Mitch invited a few couples to join us for dinner after the derby. We went to Backporch grill in Hot Springs and had a great time. It actually worked out that it was on Easter because several friends were in town. I really enjoyed getting us all together because it happens so rarely these days with all the schedules and kiddos!!

Easter Egg Hunt.

The church had it's annual Easter egg hunt and this year it was a little more exciting since she has went out on her own to look for eggs. She really enjoyed herself and once she realized that the eggs had candy in them was just picking up the eggs, getting the candy out and throwing the eggs back down. She definitely takes after her mother on that one!
She got soaking wet in the duck pond. I couldn't keep her out of it.
These are the shoes that started it all. I now know what i have to look forward to in a few years. Mitch and I were at the Gap recently and I thought they were cute so I asked Addie Blaire to try them on that was mistake #1 because she loved them and wouldn't take them off. Mitch and I didn't know what to do to avoid the tantrum that was about to set in, so he told me just to buy them. Well she can barely walk in them because she doesn't know how to keep them on her feet and still she refuses to take them off. What can I say the girl likes her bling!

My litle monkey at 22 months!

I hadn't posted in a while Addie Blaire's latest milestones, but I am happy to report that we now know why that potty is in the bathroom!! She actually peed on the potty twice now!! I couldn't believe it when she actually did because we have been trying for so long with no results. She did it once for Janice and called to tell me that she "had gone teetee in the potty" I screamed I was so excited. I even promised her a surprise so I stopped and got her a Care Bear (which she loves more than anything else right now) and she just kept squealing with excitement. So before it is over we will proably have a house full of care bears! She is still talking up a storm, I have several people that say they have never heard a baby talk quite as much as she does. It is sometimes hard to get a word in. She can say her entire alphabet, and very clearly I might add (sorry I am just being a proud parent for a minute) she is counting up to her teens now and still saying some spanish. I actually caught her counting her babies in spainish the other day! I think Handy Manny may have something to do with that. She loves to count the tools with him. She still weighs right at 28 lbs. and is about 2 ft and a few inches at best guess since she doesn't stand too long in one place. Here are a recent picture of my little monkey. Oh yeah, and she still has the same favorite song, five little monkeys, that she has little motions that she does with it.
