Girl's Trip/ Father's Day!

Father's Day weekend was off to a good start.  Dad's favorite place doing what he loves and the rest of us were pretty happy too!

Charlie has even settled into life as a lake dog pretty well.

The girls and those Ralph boys always up for a good time!
And the Bobo cousins and Fowler cousins were all in town..too much fun to handle.

That night we had a little family birthday dinner to celebrate the big girl...this birthday thing just keeps going at our house!

And on her actual bday we improvised with granola bars for breakfast with cousins.

And then I hit the road to catch up with my friends for an epic road trip.  We had the best time catching up on the 6 hour road trip to Kansas City.  We picked a few up along the way and made it there just in time for dinner.  Beth, Jess, Me, Renee and Jen hadn't been together in what seems like forever but we picked up right where we left off...and the goofiness was off the charts that evening.  We laughed til we cried..and then we cried til we realized it was just hormones cause we are all getting old!
The next morning AB went to Nana and Pops for a week of VBS and one on one time with each grandchild this summer.  I had left a surprise for her before I left and she found that morning when she woke up a huge "Top TEN" list of all the reasons we love her.  She loved it!

And the grandparents even sent a little surprise while Nana brought on the key lime pie!

The girls and I enjoyed lots of fun over the quick 48 hour trip we ate, shopped, ate some more and then went to the New Kids on the Block, Boys to Men, and Paula Abdul concert.  It was too much fun!  We acted like we were back in Junior high just like the last time we saw them all in concert.

Yes we did manage to "squeeze in a little fun!  It just seems to happen when we all get together.

That week AB continued to have all kinds of fun with Nana.  She even learned how to knit her very own headband!
And spent time at VBS at my home church helping Nana.
B even got to go the last day as well!
And my little Piranha!  She has done so well in swimming lessons over the year's at Henderson that she is just one step away from the highest level and getting her swimmer's card.  She is so excited!  She even learned flip turns this year.

The finished product...This girl was so proud of herself for making her very own headband!
And off to the lake for the weekend with cousins.  These four always have a good time together just wish we could squeeze it in more often!
Father's Day 2017 with Bobo on the lake.
And one of our favorite dad's every day of the year!  We celebrate this guy big each year...because he deserves it!
So big...that we found the biggest card we could get!

These girls are pretty blessed to have such wonderful granddads that love them more than anything.  They treat these girls like the princesses they are....and sometimes that makes for trouble! :)
Pop and his girls...
And then the next week we brought Lila home with us for the week to attend Kids' College.  So Bobo showed them a thing or two on the golf course each day.  I think they enjoyed the golf cart driving as much as the course though.
Just a picture of one of the most beautiful spots in our area.  Some lovely people that I have grown close to this past year through the college have the most gorgeous botanical garden behind their home.  My whole office took a field trip out there one morning and we didn't want to leave.  It really is a special place...the pictures don't do it justice!
B loved her second year of Kids' College.  She went both weeks and had the best time.  She was glad to have Lila around to show off to all her friends as well.
Fruit salad...learning all about her fruits this week!
AB went the second week  also but she took an writing and illustrate your own book course that had her hooked.  My little Author did a great job finishing up her first novel...or short story.  Can't wait to see what she will dream up next.
These two are thick as thieves and they enjoyed their week together...I think we even managed to wear them out a bit.

All our beautiful little works of art...the pictures are pretty cool too!
Summer is off to a great start....the lake, Kids' College, swimming lessons and birthday parties.  Up next the 4th of July and AB's first week long camp...will mom survive???!!
