Valentine's/ BBB 2018

LOVE, LOVE Lots of LOVE!
This girl is ready for Valentine's party today! We even baked our own heart shape cookies with yummy icing for all her friends.

AB's box this year.  B didn't have to make one and I warned AB last year that she was on her own this time especially because she never tells me til the night before.  I think she was pretty proud of how it all turned out though.

The tags we attached to all the party favors for there friends.  The verse spelled out Valentine's in case the picture doesn't give it away.
I helped out with B's party this year and these girls were ready for some fun!

She left with a bag full of goodies
and a little treat from mom and dad too!

AB had her box filled to the top with treats!
That night we got a visit from Nicki and Pop delivering goodies for the girls before we headed out for Ash Wednesday services on Valentine's evening.
Post Ash Wednesday ready for our Valentine's dinner with dad.
We got dad a little gift to celebrate.  I told you on the previous post they were framers and I meant it.  he was so excited to have some updated pictures to hang on the wall.  These canvas from Walmart were ready same  day pickup...can't beat that!
Biscuits and gravy with mom....it was a busy morning getting ready for BBB that evening but so glad I was able to start it off with these two!  I wouldn't have missed it!

Then after hours of set up and a few stressful moments trying to get the airport hanger cleaned up and DRY...long story.  It was time for the evening events to begin.

The girls and Nana and Pop stopped by on their way to Texarkana for dance to see the decorations.

This year's theme was 1920's and Bitsey knocked it out of the park with the decor.  It was just perfect!  She even borrowed that fantastic vehicle above to really liven up the backdrop.

My hubby was looking rather sporty for the evening.  Amazon prime to the rescue as we both were searching the closets last minute.

Just a few of our auction tables that the Hollis's work their magic on each year.

Our committee does a vendor booth each year and this was just one of the cool items you could find to purchase.

I rented eight casino tables that came with the dealers, poker chips and all which created the atmosphere and a whole lot of fun for everyone attending.
How cute are these precious trophies I found for our winners that evening?!?
A little photo booth fun for the girls before they headed out.
Dinner that evening was provided by Amigo Juan's.  As usual he did an excellent job.  He and I had met about the menu and I must say it turned out better than I expected.  I heard many compliments on the food that evening...just wishing I had gotten time to have a bite.
Who doesn't love a good mashed potato bar?!

The committee of women that I couldn't do without each year!

I hired a few event staff to help with the evening and luckily these ladies now how to dance...they got the others on their feet.
Just a glimpse of the fireworks display at the end of the evening right on the runway!
The whole evening was lots of fun.  I need to add more pictures from when the band arrived and the end of the evening fireworks display.  We opened up the hanger doors and had a professional fireworks display to end the night with a bang...here's to another 200 years!!  Thankful for the lovely committee of women who put their heart and soul into this event each year to make it a success for the foundation!  I couldn't do it without them!
