Mother's day

We spent mother's day this year with my grandmother in Magnolia. She was so glad to have us come to visit her there. My mom and dad went with us because they had come down the night before while Mitch was out of town. Mom had bought the girls these outfits so I couldn't resist trying them on for her. Good thing cause these girls are about to grow out of them!
Britann with her great grandmother Bass. We love you grandma!

Four generations of Bass women. Pretty cool to be able to sit on my grandmother's porch where I spent many years hanging out with my grandparents and having my children there now, just shows how much time may pass but some things still stay the same.

This is just a picture of Britann trying out her big sis's old chair.

Tabitha and I took the girls to see Beauty and the Beast a few weeks back and the girls loved it!! I think it may have been a little long but they still seemed interested. I must say I was impressed I had seen it on Broadway and this production was just as good as that one was. I think all the sets that they use are so awesome and Addie really loved "Chip" being a real boy and all. It was great to see her reaction to all the characters and songs since she knows them all by heart now.

Katie Ella and Lydia met us there too, the girls all got to sit together so it worked out really well.

Little Brit Brit at cousin's Mason's birthday party.

This party was Addie Blaire's first time to bowl so Mitch did his best to try to teach her. I think we still have a way's to go on that one.

I had to attach these pictures that Mitch's sweet grandmother sent me the other day. Nicki as we all call her is a great little photographer and she and Pop are the sweetest people in the world. She had a stroke a few years back and it has affected her speech and has given her several other issues with vision and hearing as well. I know for some this would be a hard thing to endure but she has kept on rolling with the punches life as thrown her and she has never given up on the things she enjoys and luckily for me one of those is taking pictures of her sweet grands. She is the best at capturing moments that I would never think to take pictures of but that really show the interactions between myself and my kiddos. I just think sometimes I am so busy trying to make sure we get this perfect picture that I forget it is the moments that just happen every day that are the most precious! (Meredith: if you are reading this I would like to count this as one of those lessons learned through the example that your life has become to me and my family. I will take each day and appreciate all the big and small things that life has to offer.)
