Spring Break!!!

Spring Break this year started off for us on Saturday.  The girls and I met Nana and grandma Bass at the Jonquil festival in Old Washington.  We try to make it out there every year for the festivities and this year was just as much fun. The only negative was the flowers were all gone this time because of the warm winter we had so the picture taking was limited.  Addie Blaire got her first taste of kettle corn and she was a big fan.  Grandma Bass seemed to really enjoy her time out as well.  She hadn't been there in years and it brought back some memories for her as well.
I thought Nana might stroke watching Addie come down the shark slide.  Little did she know this wasn't her first time we had done this last year when she was 3!!
We just happened to run into some of the girls cousins there too.  Unfortunately you can tell we were a little hot and tired, time for some strawberry lemonade and ac!
We came right home and I started packing us up for the trip.  We left later that afternoon with plans to meet up in Waco with Brandee, mark and Mason.  We stopped at a great place that  night for dinner in Dallas.  The girls and I spent our time waiting outside running in the grass and getting some of their energy out of the way.  It was going to be a long night for us all!
We met up with the McCaslins in Waco and spent the night with the idea of getting up early and getting to San Antonio to Seworld early that morning. Well any trip with the Bobo's is bound to have some kinks and this time was no different.  We left a light on in car and the next morning car was dead with keys locked inside due to our nifty keypad that no longer worked because once again car was dead!!  So we waited some time for a nice man to come out on a Sunday morning to help unlock car.  Some 1 1/2 later we were on the road!  We made it about noon to Sea World and had the best time seeing all the shows and animals there.
Addie and Mas meeting up with some new friends.
The big kids even rode a roller coaster all by themselves!
Little Brit had not taken a nap by this time and it was well into the afternoon but I was amazed she was so into all the shows that she clapped and laughed through each one!  She was quite the little trooper and I was so glad to see she really enjoyed it all because I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to go with a little one her age.
This show was my favorite, with acrobats and divers and dolphins lots of non stop action.
Good thing for the stroller we hauled around because between all three kids it was well worth it.
It will never be said that my little girl is a scardy cat!  She is willing to try it all and this roller coaster was no exception.  She wanted to do it and I guess I drew the short straw cause I got to go with her.  I don' t think dad is a big fan of such rides.  It was a lot of fun but getting drenched was not!

The Shamu (?) show was pretty neat as well.  The whales were very entertaining and got a great deal of the audience pretty wet in the process.

Finally, Britann couldn't hold out any longer and fell asleep while we waited for daddy and sis to ride the water rapids.
It is a little hard to tell from this photo but as you can probably see daddy seemed to be having more fun on the ride than the kids!!

Cotton Candy break!  Just enough sugar to get us through the rest of the day.

We made it to the dolphin show just in time to get to feed the dolphins.  It was pretty neat for the kids to get so up close and personal with them.
Great day but ready for some dinner and rest!

The resort where we stayed I would highly recommend to anyone with children.  It was the Hyatt Hill Country and it was wonderful.  Beautiful old plantation feel and lots of activities for the kids.  Each night they had smores at 7 and a movie on the lawn at 8.  The smores were a big hit with our group!
It even had a heated lazy river!!
Little Brit on a sugar high after smores.  Poor thing had no rest so I was so proud of her for hanging in there all week with the big kids.
Ready for a day in Texas on the Riverwalk.

The riverwalk was really nice.  It has changed some since I was there several years ago.  I can say that it was a little boring for the kids because it was more restaurants and shops so we didn't stay too long.  Plus they had just seen a kid's museum on the way down so their little minds were already somewhere else.
Lunch on the river walk.
And yes the kid's museum was up next.  It was fun though so I am glad we saw it.  The kids got to send all the balls up into a holding bin and then watch them all drop at once.  Pretty exciting stuff!
Construction workers, dad would be so proud!

Britann even found a toddler area that was great for her.
Back to the hotel for some afternoon swim time and fun in the sun!
The girls both enjoyed their time in the lazy river.  I think that was a first time for either of them trying that out. Plus mom loved that it was heated because I am a chicken when it comes to cold water.
We did a lot of walking around the property and with the beautiful green grass and sidewalks Britann loved running around barefoot and fancy free!
On Wednesday we headed back to Dallas to give the Great Wolf Resort a try.  I am soooo glad that we just signed up for one night because that was enough for all the parents in the group.  It is a really neat place but very tiresome with kids 4 and 1!  It made me a little nervous trying to keep up with them at all times and the number of children there on spring break didn't help with that!  Mason, Addie and Brit all enjoyed the wave pool.  I would say that the water could have definitely been a little warmer for me!
The "blur" as we call her these days!

The evening clock tower show and bedtime story in PJ's was fun!
And a perfect end to the night was pizza and ice cream back in the room!
We really had such a good time and enjoyed our time with our nephew as well.  It is so nice to have the chance to spend several days together with our families.  I know that these are memories our kids will have for many years with their cousins which makes it even more memorable!!  Can't wait for next year to see where the road will take us!

Pretty, Pretty flowers

Dress up day at school!  The outfit was designed by Addie Blaire herself!
Little sis needed a picture too!! Although these days she is a blur in most of them!  She doesn't walk anymore she runs!
Little Brit and Miss Harper.  I got to see Harper Grace a few weeks back and boy is she a cutie!  She was in awe of Brit and Brit was a little unsure about her.  She is so used to be the little one that it took some time to realize that she was the big girl for once and it was kinda funny to watch.
I met my sister and bro law at Garvin gardens one Saturday afternoon for some photos in the beautiful tulips they have each year.  Addie Blaire loves to go each year because she is a big fan of the pretty flowers.  This was the first year to have Britann walking around and she was more a fan of the pretty dirt!
Refusing to take pictures, she looks really mad, huh!

Aunt T and Lila, pretty girls!
Like I said playing in the dirt! But at least it stopped her for a photo.

I loved this picture because the color in her pants and these flowers were just so pretty.
 Happy happy girl
Note to self... don't leave your sister in charge of your child for 5 minutes or else she maybe standing on a cliff next to a waterfall!!  Just wanted everyone to know this was not my idea!
Uncle B and Lila checking things out.
These next to pictures are proof of how much this child goes.  She is on the go til she just falls out literally...

Mardi Gras!

We have loved this beautiful early spring this year and so we are spending as much of our time outdoors.  Little Brit Brit is in major motion these days so trying to catch a picture is a challenge.  The girls are growing so fast so I am trying to keep up with this blog to document all that is our life these days. I hate that I seem to be falling farther behind every day so I have set the goal to get back on track.  Here's hoping I stick to eat better than my other new year's resolutions!!

Sweet Addie Blaire!
Little Brit Brit!
We went over to the Coffee's on Fat Tuesday for a little Mardi Gras fun.  The girls really got into the action and soon we were delivering the kids in the neighborhood beads and goodies!I guess it was the most fun anyone has had on Mardi gras or at least the "PG" version!

The girls and their masks.  We had a few treats like moon pies and cookies.
Little Brit Brit got the hang of this thing really quick. I don't think I want to see this picture in 18 years though!

After we had our treats we took off through the neighborhood to share the weath of beads that mrs. jodi had on hand.  The girls loved running up to the houses full of beads.  Although I did notice Addie was a little stingy with the really cool ones!!  I am sure the parents were thrilled to see us coming.

Just had to attach this one that Lashonda got of Brit and her buddy Canon one day.  How sweet is that with her arm around him?
Bobo got married on Leap Year this year.  So we went up to Hot Springs for the wedding.  Addie Blaire had been asking if she was the flower girl.  I guess being in one wedding got her spoiled.  Now she thinks she is supposed to be in them all!  So they hooked she and Katie Ella up with a flower and the two of them along with Mason stood up front. Little Brit was a little bit too young for such duties! Congrats to Bobo and Mrs. Sharon we wish them all the best!!

Little Brit! By the way, Meredith Woodruff (in case you see this) your dad wanted you to see these shoes they have the "Miller" logo.

So proud of herself for fulfilling all her duties!

Randomness as usual at our house!

I am trying to pick up where I left off and it is getting harder and harder to keep up so here goes some random times by Jill.

Mitch and I were so excited to get to go to the Cotton Bowl this year.  It was a nice quick little getaway for us both.  We enjoyed a nice dinner together on Thursday night and fun with friends and others the day of the game. Once again the stadium was awesome and the Razorbacks won so that made for a nice end to the weekend.

Miss Britann is growing like a weed these days!  She is doing all sorts of things.  She is now in the 50% for height and weight.  She is talking more and more each day.  She actually said "night night" the other evening when I was putting her in bed.  Luckily we were able to get it on tape because it caught us both by surprise.  She is doing more talking in 2 words then she is one which is a little backwards if you ask me.  She is learning where her body parts are, even though she can't say some of them she does know them.  She is great about understanding commands like "go get your shoes" she runs straight to her closet.  The other night I handed her a washcloth and told her to wipe up something on the floor and to my amazement she did exactly that.  She knows the word "that" she won't say cup or food, but she will point and say "that".  So I guess she actually has it all figured out.  She is still loving watching her big sister and "Addie" seems to be one of her favorite words although most of the time she is yelling it around the house, ( no idea where she gets that yelling her name couldn't be from me in the mornings trying to coax her out of bed and getting her dressed)  She also loves to run, she is getting quicker and quicker.  She is quite the little climber, I never know what to expect she can actually do.  She really loves to feed herself as well.  She will not let you feed her anymore she had to be in control!  This picture is evidence of that!

 Love this kiddo!!
Celebrating daddy's birthday in January.  The girls picked out this sweet Thomas the train cake.  Addie was a little concerned though "why none of daddy's friends came to his party?!!"  Poor guy good thing we got such a small cake.
Addie Blaire is all about some dressing up these days.

These pictures will take a little explaining.  Everyone that knows us well they know Zoe as well!  If you have ever had the pleasure of coming to the house you will never forget her either.  She has this nice extremely loud scream that seems to show up... well every time we do!!!  But you also know we love us some Zoe, of course kids have changed things some but she was our first child and I seem to still feel that way about her.  She has been so great with the kids and such a champion on three legs for the last 9 years!  A few weeks back Zoe couldn't walk anymore.  She couldn't even walk two steps without her leg giving out.  I was devastated.  I couldn't watch her, I couldn't talk to anyone about it.  I wore sunglasses to work because I was balling my eyes out all day. Well, the next morning I decided I had to take her to vet, fearing I knew what he would say.... so with tears in my eyes I had the girls take "the final pictures' with Zoe.  I was balling crying trying to explain to Addie Blaire why she had to take a picture with her and telling her to say goodbye.  It was quite dramatic I must admit!  Anyways, I cried the whole way to Arkadelphia because that is where she goes to the vet ever since her surgery.  Yes, Mitch allowed me the pleasure of driving her there!  My dad was good enough to meet me there.  I explained to the vet what was happening and to my surprise he said he thought he could help her with some medicine she could possibly walk again!!  I was so thrilled, and needless to say these pictures will be timeless in our collection of mom's insanity!!  She is doing better we give her medicine once a day and it does seem to help.  Don't get me wrong she won't be chasing any squirrels anytime soon but hopefully she will be around for as long as we can take care of her.

Mommy and me muffin day at school!  Kinda wish it had been the donuts the dads got, so not fair but loved getting to go with my girl.
All aboard restaurant in Little Rock.  We had to give it a try at least once. Pretty cool!
Aunt T gave Addie this doll a few years back for Christmas and well Addie was a tad frightened of the thing that was until Britann got ahold of her.  She loves to drag her around the house now.  It is so funny she is trying to kiss on her and hold hands.  It is pretty funny to witness trust me.
If ever I needed proof that my eldest child has a little of my OCD behavior in her here it is.  This is what I walked into one night at the house.  At least everyone was served and biggest to smallest no doubt.
Fun times with cousin Katie Ella mudding through the neighborhood.  Becky may never let her come over again after this precious outfit and Toms were covered in mud when she arrived.
