Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! We spent the majority of the week in Hope. It was our holiday here this year. We got to hang out with Brandee, Mark, and Mason and they even got to spend the night with us in the new house. It was fun to have company stay with us and we even had enough room for everyone a bed this time!! Big plus! We went to Mitch's aunt Becky's house for the day. It is always fun to get together with his big family and lots of talking and laughing always takes place. The kids all had a great time too, there are actually 6 of them under the age of six so they really like getting together to play! We left Thursday night and went to Arkadelphia to see my parents and grandmother. We were able to eat dinner with them and spend some time hanging out the next day also. Well, actually I take that back a little bit, I had to run Addie Blaire into the doctor because she had another ear infection and cough!! We actually did make it several months though without an ear infection this time!! Then I had to take Zoe into the vet, she had an infection also, so a few rounds of antibiotics for my girls later, we headed home. My friend Renee and her little girl Sallie stopped by for a visit and it was great to see how much she has grown since I saw her last. Addie Blaire loved getting to be the big girl for once also. On the way home, we stopped in Prescott and I got to see my friend, Melinda and meet her very sweet fiance also. We spent Saturday with G's family because she had to work on Thanksgiving day. So lots of food and a few pounds later, we went home happy!!

Mason and Addie Blaire showing the love!

These two really love each other, sometimes more of a tough love, but still love.

She loves her new boots that Nana got her. She likes the fact that I don't make her wear socks with them the most though!

Renee, Sallie, Addie and me (well the part of me that was awake for the picture, terrible, but the only one I had so I'm posting it!) Can you tell the kids had a few Cheetos before the picture??
On a side note, the plant in the picture is one at my mom's and every time we go to her house it is on another table where my mom keeps it, but for some reason it is the first thing that Addie goes to and she takes it and moves it to the coffee table and says "It's perfect!" It is so funny and so strange at the same time, I guess she just likes to decorate like her mom.

This was my grandmother's first Thanksgiving without my grandpa. I know this was a tough holiday for her as it was the rest of us, but I was so glad to have her spend it with us. I know Addie loves to see her and Joy of course (the little puppy in the picture.)
This is a major sucker from the doctor, I guess the louder you scream when they are checking you the bigger the sucker you get!!!

We tried rolling Addie's hair that day on my sister's old Caruso (?) curlers. She actually didn't mind it because my mom told her she would look like Curly Top so she was all for it. By the way, Curly top is Shirley Temple, my mom got her all those old movies and she loves them!!!

Thanksgiving day at the Bobo's.
Addie with Grandma Bobo

She did a little dance for everyone, always the performer. I wonder where she gets that from can we say D-A-D!!!

The horsey Grandma Bobo bought for the kids.

Hanging out with her cousins

I was trying to get her to pose for a picture with dear old mom, but for some reason that just wasn't her idea of fun...

nor did she want a family picture.....

.....or even one with the kiddos and Grandma. I think she was fed up with the camera by this point.

I guess I didn't get as many pictures with Nicki and Pop on Saturday, so wait til Christmas it will be your turn.

Giving Daddy a big kiss!

2 yr. pictures

Addie Blaire had her 2 yr pictures taken a few weeks ago in Little Rock. It was a very interesting day to say the least. I had decided to take her and get some outdoor pictures made. My mom came with me that day, and I took off from work so we could be up there in time. I brought Zoe along because I thought it would be cute to get some pictures of them together. Well, we got to town a few minutes early so we decided to run into Target for a few things. She was in the best mood, had just taken a nap and I was so excited because I had brought all these outfits so I just knew these session was going to be great!! Little did I know that that was about to change. As we were walking though Target, she was spinning on my finger and she fell and hit her head on the concrete in the store. She started screaming, and I mean screaming because she has lungs on her. People were running over to see what was wrong. I fell to the floor immediately trying to comfort her and she wasn't calming down so I tried to stand up and walk with her to the bathroom. As I did she started vomiting, well I started to freak out, but not near as bad as my mom I must say. I got her to the bathroom calmed her down and started making calls trying to figure out what to do. The doctor seemed to think since she had calmed down and was not continuing to get sick that she was probably okay, but just to watch her closely. I went ahead and met the photographer because she was waiting on me and I had no way to get in touch with her. Well, we got to the location and Addie had calmed down , but was in no mood for pictures. Not to mention Zoe ate all of the McDonald's we had in the car while we were in Target so we had no food to lure her during the pictures! Addie Blaire did wonderful under the circumstances but needless to say no clothing changes took place and Zoe never stood in one place long enough for some pictures! However, I was pleasantly surprised by what the photographer was able to get, it just proves what a good photographer she is to be able to get good pictures out of such a traumatic day for us!!
A few of the pictures are on her blog. It is sarahbusseyphotography.com/journal
Check them out if you get a chance!

Birthday Party Fun!

Well, it has been some time since I last blogged. I guess the move to the new house and Christmas have a way of keeping me busy lately. Addie Blaire is talking up a storm these days. She can say any and everything I say these days. I am not sure if that is a good thing or not though! We have been to a couple of birthday parties recently and Addie Blaire is always up for a good party. She still loves to talk about parties and is not too excited when she realizes they are for other people, she kind of likes the attention I think, so we have to pretend that the party is for her and everything is fine.

We went to a party for Walker Wright, it was a lot of fun. Actually, Addie told Mendy (walker's mom) that "it was the best birthday party ever!" They had the cutest scene to take a picture and somehow she was actually game for this!

The pinata they had for the tractor party. All the big kids were doing it, but Addie shouted out it's my turn and she got out there with the best of them and gave that pinata a shot!

She really liked the pinata when she realized it was full of candy and quickly started grabbing for her share of it.

She loves her some Griff, as she calls him. She has started to hold his face like this and she will say " he's a good boy" I have no idea where she gets this from but it is hilarious!!

Walker loved his presents, but what he really liked was his tractor.

The next party we went to was for Katie Ella. She had a horse themed party and it was a lot of fun to see Addie Blaire on a horse!!

The girls even tried to ride the horse together. It was pretty cute the two of them on there together. It was a miniature horse so it was perfect for the kiddos.

The cute hats that all the kids made with horsey stickers on them!

Halloween, Rock On!

With all the excitement from the move we didn't have much time to prepare for Halloween. My mom had come into town earlier that day to help us unpack while my dad was out of town in Houston for the week. She got to experience the fun with Mitch and I that night out on the town with Addie Blaire. She was a Rockstar this year!! She actually told me at the last minute after I had tried for weeks to get the perfect costume (which was supposed to be the precious cupcake from Pottery Barn, but that's another story) anyways since she loves to sing all this songs and has several microphones we decided on a Rockstar. However, at the last minute that week she decided on a skunk!! I know I don't know what made her want to be one, we had looked on the internet and I told her to pick one and that is what she picked. I decided that was too much trouble so we had to get her pumped up for the rockstar which didn't take long when I told her she would have a guitar to play, she could sing, and the pink hair didn't hurt either! We started off the night at our new home with a few pictures..

She loved checking herself out in the costume, she just kept staring at herself and singing in the mirror.

First pictures in front of the new house, our first night to stay there was Halloween, kinda spooky for more than one reason!! (By the way the door is yet to be stained, we still have a few projects to finish.) Actually it was funny that night when we returned home late, we had about 15 trick or treaters show up at the house. It's funny because what you can't see in the picture is the bean bag, the boxes piled high, and the leftover carpet that we made into a walkway that are all right there. Some people have no limits when it comes to getting some candy!!

She was showing us how to play her guitar, she plays a pretty good air guitar!

Our first stop was our old neighborhood.

Little Brady was Elvis, how cute is he!! I am loving that hair too.

Payton, the Wonder Woman and my little rocker!!

We next went by Mitch's grandparents homes and we ran into Addie Blaire's cousins Lydia and Katie Ella. She had a great time trick or treating with them.

These two kept checking each other out. I think Katie Ella couldn't get enough of Addie's microphone and pink hair and Addie wanted a go at her cool clip on earrings!

Showing mommy all that candy was good!! Does it look like she was on a slight sugar high that night?

After that we went to our church's Trunk or Treat. Addie Blaire got lots more candy, and even got to jump in a bounce house!

Mrs. Kelly had such a cute display, all the trunks were decorated so cute!

Mitch finally started going with her to the trunks to step in because what he realized was that she didn't know what all this candy was and when she was given the choice she was choosing things like raisins because she recognized the box and was turning down the Snicker bars mom and dad were wanting!!

Ahhh, finally she got the good stuff!!

Me, Addie Blaire, my cousin Kristy and her precious little girl Emerie!

Moving Day!

We have been pretty busy the past week moving to our new house, but Addie Blaire found a little time for some fun in our old front yard. Since it has been raining so much lately it was the best time for Mitch to move us because all their work was stalled. Addie Blaire enjoyed her last days at the house by splashing around in all the water that had backed up on our street. It was almost waist deep on her!! She had a blast and Bobo joined her for a splish splash!

The second day the weather was much better and we had several different helpers which was nice. I really didn't think we had that much to move, but we are on day 7 and still have things to get from the old house. Luckily, Bobo bought our house so he is being so kind to allow us to take our time getting it all. Addie Blaire was very interested in this moving process, she kept wanting to help and then when we went into our old house, she saw her room and said "what happened to my room" she didn't really understand why the house was such a mess and where her bed went! She is getting adjusted to the new house though and is sleeping really well in her new room! I hope that she will be as happy there as she has been on Town Drive. All of our neighbors kept coming by and telling us how much they would miss us. It made me so sad to leave, after all that is the house that Mitch proposed to me in!!! One of the neighbors Mrs. Jackson even gave Addie Blaire a little angel from her collection that she said was to protect her in her new house. How sweet is that!! I told all the neighbors that we would leave Zoe if they were having withdraws from us, and it was a collective "NO!" I guess they would like to see their trash stay in the bags and the cats out of the trees! (actually Zoe may finally lose weight without anyone to feed her.)
