Spring Break Nashville style!!!

A little trip to my new favorite location!  The girls and I were able to join my friend Renee and her girls for an epic girls' trip to Nashville during spring break.  We had the best time...as evidenced by all these pics!!
I have always loved Dolly Parton (I am semi-obsessed with her), so the chance to stay at a hotel with that theme just had to happen.  I loved this place and can't wait to go back soon!

We started off night one in Memphis, and def made some memories there...
Then on to the Graduate hotel....How cute is her themed bar and restaurant?!
We took a moment for a mini photo shoot...

Lunch at Miranda Lambert's Restaurant and then we had dinner at Justin Timberlake's new restaurant...I highly recommend both!

And of course A little shopping..

There were so many cool murals all over the city!

We loved Reese Witherspoon's store too..

And that night we had probably the most fun I have had in ages...we went line dancing at a real live honky tonk!  We danced till our feet hurt!  The girls even got a few line dancing lessons and really got the hang of it!

The next day we did a little sightseeing and we didn't seem to miss the Ryman.  Somehow we couldn't get away from it!

The girls really loved the trolley ride..can't you tell?!
A little afternoon fun at the hotel!

And that evening we just so happened to meet Scottie Pippin, a world-famous basketball player.  The girls were pretty excited.  We even got to ride up the elevator with him and he really enjoyed messing with the girls.

That afternoon we stopped at the County Music Hall of Fame and the girls tried their voices in a recording studio!

The next day we headed up to the Gaylord Opryland hotel.  It is such a cool place and we did lots of exploring and swimming!

me and my friend...we never take the pics!
we spent the whole afternoon and next morning hanging out at the indoor waterpark!

A great trip was had by all...it was a quick one but I wouldn't change a thing.  We made some great memories together and got to experience several firsts as a girl gang.
We got home and made the most of our weekend back before school started.  We got to spend an afternoon in the tulips at Garvin Gardens with my mom and sister.  It was so nice to see the sunshine for a change!

The rest of this post is a bit out of order...It all happened before spring break so just hang with me.  We finished up our last volleyball tournament for both girls the weekend before in Hot springs.  They had quite the following!  They both ended the season with lots of high notes and plenty of time on the court to improve their skills!
Bobo
Aunt Bettye

Nana and Pop
Sharon
And even Mrs. Misty, B's teacher
The next week B's team had a little park party and got to meet her coach's new puppies!

The week before I finally got a chance to spend some time with my nieces!  We got a whole afternoon and evening together while their parents were at a wedding.  it seems almost impossible with everyone's schedules to get together these days so we made the most of it!

AB helping with setup for the Lila Kate race.
And another moment that happened just before the girls and I left for Nashville.  That weekend we met up with all my mom's family in Russellville to celebrate the life of my cousin Aaron.  He passed away on December 30, 2021, due to Covid-19.  We had waited til the time was right and everyone could be together to celebrate his life and share some of our favorite moments.  The girls were glad to see their cousins from Chicago for the first time in a few years.  Aaron was one of a kind and will forever be missed!

AB had a blast with this Klife crew...they went on a surprise trip to San Antonio for the weekend.  They showed up late one night, boarded a greyhound bus, drove all through the night and arrived in San Antonio.  They spent the whole day exploring and going to Sea World and the riverwalk.  They got back on the bus the next night and drove home to arrive early that next morning.  A quick trip but looked like a blast!
A little luck never hurt anyone...and she is sure lucky!  St. Pat day fun
at the World's Shortest Ever St. Pat day parade

And while we were having fun big sister was busy making the high school dance team!  Looking forward to a great year watching our girl do her thing!
