Easter and things are finally springing up..

The new addition is finally coming together.  It has been quite the project, but I am so excited to see the basement look like a room for the first time.  We don't have all the furniture we need yet, but we are starting to really put it all together and can have friends hang out there now, so that is definite progress.

Final goodbyes to Mia from Klife, she has been a great mentor to these girls and will be missed!

We made a little gift from all the girls to give to their bible study leaders as they move on and graduate.

this was the 10th year for Walk for the Waiting, and it was so amazing to be back in person with everyone this year.  We had a great turnout, and seeing forever families and foster families come to celebrate these children makes it all worth it! The CALL crew as hot and sweaty but this team rocked it!

This girl was quite the help with the balloons.

Aunt T, Lila and June even came out to support!

The girls got to go support Adalie in Into the Woods

B had a blast at Mallory's scavenger hunt party

And we got to see Annaliese do her senior walk!

Mitch and I went with the Stones to an Oaklawn concert and I can't even remember the poor guy's name.  Now that is terrible...I will think of it in a bit.  But as usual, they dared me to go down so I could get another selfie pic..here ya go!

B was so excited to get the offer to go with her friend Nora and family to the Heart Ball this year.  She looked so pretty and her sister even helped with her hair.  She said she had a blast and danced all night.

A little work mani/pedi to celebrate my bday!
And then dinner that night with the family!
I realize the next photo may be a bit gross to some, but this is what happens when you get tripped on the track and go sliding down the asphalt.  Poor AB had a birthmark on her arm since she was born and now it is no longer.  It will take a while to heal and may require surgery but this girl was a trooper.  I know it really hurt and she was a bit scared but she powered through like she always does.
And then it was Easter!  This year we had great service with G at her church followed by lunch with Bobo and Sheshe and dinner with G.  But as always the morning starts with the girls' scavenger hunt through the house to find all the eggs the Easter Bunny hid until they find their baskets!

WE even managed to squeeze in a few pics with the family!

Happy Easter to all!  HE has Risen!!!
