and after! Thanks to Jeff and his go pro we had even more video footage of this year's madness.
And some where in between...not sure I was feeling as tough at that point...
and what better way to reward ourselves than a little crawfish dinner afterwards!! We had a house full of kiddos that night! Nothing better then to have such a great friends and good times.
The next day just so happened to be mother's day and what better way to spend it then with my two favorite people. They were so sweet and both had made gifts at school that they had hidden until that morning just to surprise me. This is a card with a necklace that AB made.
It was so cute they even imprinted there finger prints into the necklace for a keepsake.
She also made me a card that was about the cutest thing ever!
Oh through the eyes of a child!! Just loved these answers..I guess the mascara under the eye look at bedtime is not her favorite. I just thought it was Mitch that didn't care for that! But good to know she recognizes good cooking when she see it!!
Little B even made her very own gift...that is one cute little froggy!
I just love all the cute ideas these teachers come up with...I know I will hold on to these for years to come! So thank you to all the teachers out there that helped to make my mother's day even more special!!

This picture was actually taken before the weekend kicked off on Thursday night. We had a group that went by bus..yes, that was an adventure in itself to Texarkana for a wine tasting. It was a lot of fun and the company made it that much better!!

These was just a funny little story AB brought home from school one day. She was told she had to draw a picture and write a story about her pet dog. Well needless to say the picture was great all by itself because not only did she draw her exact outfit she drew her dog just like she is...all 3 legs of her!! Poor thing the teacher probably thought she made a mistake! But the best part was in her description to me of the story...
as she began to read the story to me she would stop and say will mom I had to make that part up... and I had to make that up to... and I had to make that last part up to because none of the words actually fit for Zoe!! I guess the wording to the right should have been changed for our pet to words like...dis-obey, sit, lay, get in trash, lay, well you get the point. unfortunately for my children they have no idea what a normal dog is like they have been blessed to have an 11 year old dog with 3 legs therefore her level of activity at this point is minimal. However, I know they love her all the same but it was super hilarious to hear interpretation of the story.
This picture is actually from an event that has been a long time coming in my opinion. This group has worked so hard to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the name of their son, nephew, husband and friend David Adams. We started a fundraiser soon after David's passing in order to not only come together each year to remember a friend but to help to put a face to the cause in Arkansas where until now their has been no chapter established. I know that so many people have causes that are near and dear to their hearts and this just happens to be ours..it has become something that I want to see continue and that would make David so proud to see what his family and friends have accomplished on his behalf. It is not by any large donation but a combined effort of many that we were recognized this year at the first annual man and woman of the year dinner. It is a proud moment to see all the research that is being done to cure this disease and encouraging to know that we are playing a part in that makes my heart so happy. So this evening was special to us all and I hope that David is smiling down knowing that his legacy is living on and continuing to help so many more just like him.

Mitch had to get up and speak at the dinner and I was so proud of my husband for putting a voice to all the things that David would have wanted to say had he been there himself. This pic is Mitch with the executive director of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society presenting a check from the David Adams Memorial Fund.
And thus remains the hope that what we are doing to make a difference in David's name and in the lives of those affected by this disease will continue to help to find a cure so that no one else has to endure the loss that this group has...
