Witches and ducks don't normally fly together...but for Halloween 2013 these two made a pretty cute little pair!! AB had gone back and forth a million plus times on what she would be this year..a genie, no a Spanish dancer, no wait a rock and roll star...but in the end her sense of fashion won out when she laid her eyes on this very spectacular witch costume. Plus, taking into account, we had just gone to see "Wicked" probably helped to make her decision more clear. Now my little duck on the other hand had plenty of options herself but at game time that night it came down to the duck or Minnie Mouse and she flew straight to the duck... I must say AB wore this costume as well because of her fondness of ducks at an early age thanks to Nona, but little B sported it just as proudly. I think the only element she add was a little sass that might have been missing the first time :) She also had a very nice "Quack" down for all those she came in contact with that night.
Here are just a few of the precious pictures I snapped on our way out the door...
This duck is always ready for some action..
Ready to fly...the cutest witch I've personally ever seen!! (not that I am biased or anything)
Our first stop...The Loft Halloween Party. Little B took home the prize for the smallest little trick or treater!
B and Makayla were the winners of the costume contest with Miss LindseyAB and DK
My little trick or treaters with Miss Lindsey
I mean is that not the cutest little duck you have ever seen???..very rare to catch her so calm!
After the Loft we headed over to Nicki and Pop's with our cousins. They had dinner prepared and lots of snacks to fill us up. Since this was the first year since Grandma Bobo's had passed away it was a little bitter sweet for all of us. we had always met up at her house with everyone so I know it was on all our minds and in our hearts how much we truly miss her this year. It was so sweet for Nicki and Pop to allow us all to gather at their house this year so that all the cousins could be together to continue this tradition...Pretty cute bunch if I do say so. Lydia (Cleopatra) Katie Ella (Dorthy& Toto) my witch and duck and Julia (Sofia the 1st)
Our next stop was down to our old "hood" to see Bobo and Sharon and some of our old neighborhood friends.
Our final stop of the night was at the Tyree's for the 2nd annual Georgetown hayride and Halloween gathering. It is nice to have such a big group of friends to trick or treat with and I especially enjoyed the ride through the neighborhood, definitely beats toting a 3 year old on my hip all night!
B was so excited to run into her new buddy from school. I think it caught her a little off guard..she just stood there and stared at him just like this...first crush maybe...gonna have to tell her to lose the duck costume next time if that's the case!!
Most of the kiddos from the party...we definitely had a good miss with the group..just don't let Obama scare you back there in the back!!
Happy Halloween from the Bobo's and may you "trick or treat, smell her treat"all year long! -B
