80's Party and Watermelon Weekend!

We had a busy weekend, I am so glad that we were able to fit everything in though. It was Watermelon weekend here and the festival was in full swing. I wanted Addie to get the chance to race and I also just like being around to hang out with friends and enjoy some good ole melon!! They are really good this year by the way, so if you are coming through town you should pick one up! We started the weekend by driving up to Little Rock on Friday. We had the pleasure of getting to hang out with cousin Mason this week since Bobo was keeping him for a couple of days. We took him back to Little Rock with us and Aunt Brandee volunteered to watch Addie so that Mitch and I could join in on Terri and Bracy's big 30th bash! I had rounded up a few things at all places Rue 21 had all this 80's stuff. Scary that it is back in style now!! But Mitch however waited til we got to town to round up an outfit and boy did he. Thanks to Savers he was decked out! I was actually impressed with what he came out with and I don't think it cost him but a few dollars to look so good! I attached some pictures from the weekend.

Mitch and I dressed up! It is unfortunate that my big headband didn't show up in the pictures very well. I guess it is hard to deck out though with a growing belly to accentuate!! I finally found a belt big enough to fit around me! I am 34 weeks in the picture by the way. Mitch and his Pac-man tshirt, cutoffs and best of all those shoes and socks. If anyone is interested he said he would cut them a deal on the shoes!

My cute little mom, she just can't look bad, I wish I inherited that trait from her!! My husband will kill me for this picture but, oh well, it was too cute of my mom not to post.

The big 3-0!

The Fowler girls, funny to see pictures of us both pregnant, who would have ever thunk it!

This was the cake for the night, the top is the party invite! It was delicious, I am really craving some sweets these days! I know that most that know me know that is not a big deal cause I always have been a sweets girl, but it is so much worse these days than normal!

Terri, Bracy and their friend Erin blowing out the candles. Loving the blue eye shadow Aunt T, wish I had thought of that.

Here are a few of the party guests!! I will post more pictures once I get permission from Terri. She is not a big fan of me choosing pictures to post without her approval first!! So trust me if I get cleared there are some funny ones on the way!

Addie getting the big pep talk from dad before the race. He ran with her this year since I am not to quick on my feet or anywhere for that matter these days. He didn't know what he was in for I don't think.

She took off quick out of the gates and Mitch said he thought this was going to be a breeze. The race is 1/2 mile for the kiddos.

Just look at that stride, sure to be a runner right.....

um... maybe not so much. She tired out about a few feet from the start and as you can tell so did dad!! They stopped to chat at the half way point, even going as far as to get some water and drink it along the way back. Hey she was already last, why get in a hurry at that point!

Luckily for her there was still someone at the finish line to award her a medal!! She thought that was pretty cool. We have already started our training program for next year. We have a few of you kiddos on the frig as inspiration... not saying any names, Pilkingtons, Luceros, and Ralphs!!

They had some cool little sponges for the kiddos to cool off with after the race. What a great idea considering the blistering 105 degree temperatures!
The best part for all of us after the race is the free watermelon!! Addie ate hers down to the last bite and wanted more. She had it all over her tshirt before it was over. The funniest part though was that Mike Ross (us rep) and Blanche Lincoln were out campaigning and we ran into them and they had there pictures taken with her by their staff.

The day before Angie, Jami and I took the kids to see the sights and we got some cute stuff too! A little hot but well worth it for the strawberry lemonade they have every year!
Saturday night we went to the concert and met the Branch's there. Joe Nichols was in town and he did a great job at putting on a show for us. I have never seen that many people from this little town in one place!! And by the way, we walked right by him coming off his bus and he is quite the hottie!! I didn't realize, nor did I realize I would know so many of his songs.

Addie put on a show of her own back there in the cheap seats with us. She danced until her face was as red as the melons there!!! She also enjoyed the free balls they passed out to all the kids. She and Joe had everyone around us ready to hide for cover, we only received a few dirty looks so all in all a good night!

Aunt T's Birthday and lots of other fun stuff!

Addie and I spent most of the week a few weeks back in Little Rock and we had a great time hanging out with friends and family. We got to go to Nick Live, Aunt T's birthday party at Sole Mates, and hang out with some friends and Mason too! Aunt T had a wine and cheese party thanks to her friend Mary Carole for doing that for her. It was a lot of fun and I know Terri really appreciated it. We still have the big "80's party" this weekend for Terri and Bracy's 30th bash. I am sure that some pictures will be taken if I can find just the right outfit that is. We got to hang out with Mason a great deal who is always Addie's favorite person. The two of them are quite a handful when they get together. I had fun too though, Brandee and I stayed up late watching "Bethany Getting married" which by the way is my new guilty pleasure on tv!! If you haven't watched it she is hilarious and you will laugh til you pee (or maybe that's just me and the symptoms of late pregnancy!) Anyways, good times fun times.

The whole gang or at least I think that was most of us.

Addie and Isabella, these two had so much fun together. I couldn't believe that we actually got them to stop long enough for a picture they were on a tear with the cheese and crackers.

Addie sporting her favorite shoes in the store.

She needed just a little help to stand in those things!!

I told Addie to pick out her favorite pair of shoes and as you can imagine they were pink, and I mean "hot"pink for mom to try on!

We spent the night with cousin Mason and although this isn't the best picture, it is the only one I took that day. I am really getting lazy about carrying my camera around these days!! Anyways, we went to Jumpzone which I remembered to be so much fun from the last time there. Problem is that I wasn't 30 weeks pregnant and having to crawl up the slides to get my child that freaked out at the top!! Not a pretty picture and poor, poor slide trying to hold up this momma!!

Angie and I took the kids to see Nick Live in Little Rock a few weeks ago. It was an adventure between our parking mess, the heat and potty training there are a few funny stories I will remember! Addie loved the program, she knows all the Dora, BAckyardigan, Wonder Pets songs so she sang along the entire show. I was just glad for a little ac and relieve from the long walk to get there. We were a little late for the show to say the least and being pregnant, running and 102 heat don't mix well! I can't wait for more shows to enjoy with her this year. I think she has really hit that age where she is ready and with a little help from a few snacks she is willing to sit for a while.

This was the best I could get of these two. Grif seems to have no problem with the camera but my child on the other hand is way to busy for the momma paparazzi!

These are just a few pictures from the Bible school performance that I forgot to post with the video.

This is a picture of Addie with Grif and Mackenzie that we took for the Springhill football program. Mackenzie is a cheerleader so the kids put a good luck ad in for her this year. She has been our babysitter this summer and the kids have had a blast with her. I am so glad she was able to help us out and to have gotten to know her. I am sure that she will be called up on many times this year so I hope she is ready!!

Addie and I went to Ty's birthday party the other night and as you can tell it was a swimming party. She had so much fun hanging out with all the kids. This is a picture of her and some of her cousins. It is so nice to have a lot of family in town and that this girls get to grow up together is even better.

Bible School Video

I just had to post this very humorous video of Addie Blaire's performance at bible school this year. It was her first year to attend and she loved it!! She was able to go a couple of days to my mom's church and since the theme was the same this year she learned all the songs, so she had a head start on some of the other kiddos. I just love to hear her sing, not so much because she has her mother's beautiful voice (yeah right) but that she has no inhibitions and sings for all the world to hear!! Mitch and I love to just listen to her in the car with the headphones on. She is singing so loud and out of tune and has no idea. It is all we can do to keep from laughing!!! So if you listen closely, this is for the grandparents that didn't get to attend you will definitely hear one voice above and a little behind the music than the rest of the crowd!! (sorry couldn't figure out how to rotate it. She is the one in the middle on the front.)

Beach Vacation 2010!

Well it has taken me a while to gather up the effort to go through all the million pictures I took at the beach, but slowly I am trying to get this post up. I think it maybe all sort of out of order but it's there. I once again had so many pictures I had a hard time deciding what to post which seems to be the story of my posting life. I started with all the pictures from our beach vacation and ended with some lake pictures from this summer.
We ended up at Galveston for our vacation this year, with the beaches in Florida being questionable we cancelled our reservations there and my family decided on several locations with Galveston being the closest. I wish we could have gone to some of the other places but I must say being 28 weeks pregnant that 6 hour drive was great!!! The place I found at the last minute actually turned out to be the best spot on the beach in my opinion because unlike Florida most of the resort s are across the street from the beach and you have to share a public beach with everyone. Our resort was great because it had a private beach and was located directly on the water. We had a few minor room issues being that they gave us the wrong one looking at the parking lot, but with a few conversations from the hormonal pregnant woman they were able to find just the perfect spot for us on the water!! The first day our so it rained which worked out fine because we went to the aquarium and some other indoor locations first. It was a great getaway and I love having all the help with Addie, although it does spoil her a bit!! Next year well be a little different considering we will go from 1 to 3 in a year. I hope that poor child is ready for how her world is about to be changed!!! She came back from the beach though ready for next year, I am so glad she loves the beach as much as the rest of us do.
Addie and Pop hanging out in the waves. She absolutely loves splashing in the waves. I think she would have gone out much further if I would have let her.

This is pretty much how she looks the entire time she is out there, she has a grin from ear to ear!! She really does love the water, she also loves jumping into the waves with a little help from mom and dad.

I know Pop's arms were tired by the end of the day from lifting her up and down each time the waves came in.

I just thought this background was pretty cool. There were some storms out further at sea that day and it made for some cool cloudy weather which was a nice change from this heat! This is pretty much how the beach at our resort was most of the time later in the afternoon, we had the entire area to ourselves which was really nice!

Addie was trying to figure the sand thing out here, it is a little (well actually a lot different than the white sand she is used to in Florida) it is a little more compact!! Mitch says that is an understatement considering he took off the first morning for a run on the beach barefoot because of what he is used to and came back barely able to walk!!

My dad had the great idea to give the seagulls some cheese its one day and boy did they get more than they bargained for!! My sister was freaking out because of her fear of birds (she saw that movie when we were young I think) anyways Addie loved it she wasn't scared a bit she kept coming back for more food and the birds were just circling her the entire time.

Finding seashells with Nana.

We had the best pool for little ones at our place there were two of them and one didn't get deeper than 3 feet and this one in the picture was only 1 foot. It had several water features which Addie was all about!

My little beach babe!

This year since the beach was not quite the same and I was too lazy to go though the effort to take them we took a few from our balcony. I had not taken any pictures of Addie with my belly so my sister got a few cute ones. She is really interested in the growing belly and had even been able to feel her sister kicking several times. She loves to give the baby a kiss everyday, so that is what she is doing here. This is me at 28 weeks. I guess I haven't been as good about updating many pictures of the pregnancy or much info about baby Bobo #2 so I will try to be better about that in the coming weeks!

The family pic of 3, about to be 4 next year! I can't wait.

Addie with her nana and pop!

Daddy's little girl, she has him all wrapped up these days. I don't think I have ever seen him tell her no!!! He said she is so good he doesn't need to, but I think he might be a little too soft cause I seem to find a few instances that could stand a little talking to at the least!

Being silly with her Aunt T. She is a big fan of her these days also. She asks if we are going to see her at least every other day or so. So glad that Terri was feeling well for the most part during the trip I was afraid it might be a rough week for her!

My dad really wanted us to go on the ferry there in Galveston. My parents brought me to the beach there when I was Addie's age and I still remember the picture of my dad holding me on that ferry. So we took a little time to get a picture of she with her Pop and Nana and Dad. Although, we were going to take a picture of my dad and I to compare to the last one and we forgot. Mitch says that after his experience on the ferry that will be the only picture Addie will have of the two of them on one, because he won't be coming back!! He had a great time as you can tell, he had never ridden a ferry but says now he knows why!

Our last day on the beach a little oil had turned up so we spent more time on the sand and less in the water, I guess I am a little paranoid to say the least about it. I love getting sugars from my baby, and these days she is more than willing but only if I am wearing lipstick because she wants to get some on her lips!!

The last night we went to a Greek restaurant where they had a belly dancer. Addie being that she is so shy followed the poor woman all over that restaurant and danced with her the entire time. She even a one point gave her a beaded skirt to wear, which was a little big. She did learn a few moves though. Now if you ask her to belly dance she puts her hands over her head and shakes her hips. She has potential, or at least that is what the belly dancer told me. Oh, to be so proud one day!!!! I actually think there were more cameras out taking pictures of my child than me that night!

She recruited a friend to "shake it" with her.

This is from a super cool ride they had inside the rainforest cafe. It was one of those water rides where you ride though a cave and there are all kinds of cool animals. We did this on the first day and I wasn't sure if Addie would be a little scared or not but she thought it was awesome. Every time the rest of the week we got ready to go eat she wanted to go to the "rainforest place"

These are some pictures from Moody gardens. It is a really neat place with lots of attractions. We went to see the aquarium and were not disappointed at all.

This is a picture from our 4th of July event at our church this year. We came back from the lake just in time. Addie and Griffin loved the fireworks!! As you can probably tell by the expression on her face. They were so excited to get to sit with ms. Mackenzie, who has been there babysitter this summer. She is such a sweet girl and we have been very lucky to have her helping us!

It was so cute I couldn't resist taking a picture of Grif laying in Addie's lap. He layed there most of the night.

Addie and "Grif"

Addie with her two cousins Katie Ella and Lydia.

Mitch somehow got tied into driving the train all night. He literally drove that thing for 2 1/2 hours straight. However, it was partly his on fault that the line for the kids was so long because he was flying around in that thing all over. The kids thought it was awesome as they were bouncing around back there. I did hear a few parents a little concerned about the speed, I just told them I had no idea who that guy was driving that thing!!

These are pictures from the lake from the Maneth's annual crawfish boil!! My child was obsessed with the crawfish she couldn't keep her hands off of the poor guys!

Mitch, Addie , Collins and Chad hanging out on the lake on the 4th.
