Britann's Second Birthday! Shooes!!

For those that know little Brit you have probably seen her love for shoes.  She isn't partial to any one pair but the general affection for shoes in general is always with her.  If we are in the house and don't have shoes on then before we know it she has a pair at our feet to put on. She has a strong desire for everyone to feel the need for shoes like she does.  This has been a theme for her for the last year of her life for sure so when it came time to plan her 2nd birthday party there was not doubt what kind of party we had to have.  Even her big sister had the same idea!  So shoes it was but finding much on shoes proved to be a little harder than I thought.  In the end I think she had a great party and everyone there agreed that she really seemed to be enjoying herself and seemed to understand that the day was all about her.  It made me feel so good to see her soaking up all the attention and loving every second of it.  It was a long road to that day because we had originally planned because Brit got sick with strep throat that weekend and then the following weekend her big sister got a virus called hand, foot and mouth!!!  I mean really! When it rains it pours so luckily the bakery was kind to me and after a few times of rescheduling the day of the party finally arrived.  I am so thankful to everyone that was able to be flexible with us and managed to be there to celebrate with our little Brit Brit!  Happy Birthday sweetie!
I don't know if you can tell but we were able to find some really cute miniature shoes to use to decorate.
My little birthday girl and mommy.  I guess you can tell that there was little stress on mommy's face. I didn't realize it at the time but looking back at all the pictures I have this same expression so I guess I was more stressed then I realized because I seem to be gritting my teeth in all of them.

I found several cute shoe quotes and scattered them out on the table.  This one was one of my favorites by Marilyn Monroe.
The pretty cake that The Bakerman in Texarkana did such a good job.  I ended up tying in the theme of Cinderella to the cake because of Britann's outfit and other decorations.  I think they did a wonderful job of taking my ideas and running with it.
This was the party popcorn I made and I think it was the hit of the party.  You can check my pinterest for the recipe but the kids and adults loved it!
The cupcake toppers were so appropriate "one, TWO buckle my shoe!!"

This was the big high heel that Sharon loaned me for the party.  Her daughter had collected shoes when she was a little girl and oh my goodness did she have a collection of them each in tiny little boxes.  I couldn't even find room to show them all off.  I loved the display high heel for the collection.  It made for such a cute centerpiece!
The birthday girl!!  See can't you tell she knew the day was all about her!
"Shoes matter just ask Cinderella!"  The shoes she is wearing I made for both the girls because AB just had to have a pair once she saw sisters.  I think they turned out really neat.  Hopefully a keepsake she will have for years to come!

This is the bracelet I found made from Barbie shoes just for her to wear for her party but as you can tell by the large hand modeling it that didn't happen!!  Oh well mom needed that final touch to her outfit anyways.
The party table inside with all the goodies.  I found this book called "Birdie's Big Girl Shoes"  It was so cute and tied right into the party.  In fact I used a page from the book to blow up in to place mats for the table outside.  The shoes that are serving as utensil holders are actually my prom shoes. One is gold and the other is silver.  My mom brought them down with her and they proved to be multi purpose.

Outside I had set up a table with all the craft stuff for girls and boys.  The girls got a pair of plain dress up shoes to decorate with all kinds of goodies and the boys got large wooden letters to decorate for door hangers to their rooms.  The kids all had a great time working on their masterpieces as you will see later..

I had gathered up tons ( I mean tons) of Barbie shoes from the collection my mom had held on to of mine, cause they just don't make em like that these days and we used them as table confetti on all the tables.
The party favor for everyone was a blue or pink laminated shoe that had it's very own shoelace to help those that needed help learning to tie their own shoes.  Ours proved to be very useful because I am proud to say that Miss Addie Blaire can now tie her own shoes!!!
The Place setting for each child at the table.
My high heel shoe pebble crispy treats!
The birthday girl lead the way and where she went that day everyone followed.  She had the best time showing her buddies around the back yard.
I had set up a photo booth I had found for the older kids to have fun and they definitely had me laughing at their funny faces.

The outdoor table was set up with lots of Britann's favorite, balloons everywhere you could see!

The little ones found their way to the trampoline and had the best time falling on one another and just giggling.
Lila and Brit are soo funny when they are in their together because what one tries the other one has too!

 My precious birthday girl!
Gavin enjoying the cupcakes I think.
The girl of the hour, she loved that cake!

See I told you all the girls had a little too much fun with their shoes.  Not sure if these are going to be able to walk in without a little trouble.
This is Britann's birthday ride.  She is rollin these days in her new wheels.  It is kinda nice that she is not quite able to drive yet because I think she and sissy would be fighting over the wheel.  Lila seemed to enjoy her time in the caddy!

Checking out all of her gifts.  I don't know if you can see it but Mrs. Shonda surprised her with the sweetest handmade crocheted name sake.  It was so nice of her to do something so special.
 Mason and his cool creation
Griffin and Gavin, we knew Grif had to have the deer and fishing stickers!
Happy Birthday to you little Brit!!  I can't wait for another fun filled non- stop action packed year with you!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

I must say we haven't attended as many Razorback games this year for the obvious reasons of course (the lack there of any W's this year is Mitch's main reason) but we did make it to a game in Fayetteville at the beginning of the season.  We had plans to take the girls but at the last minute we decided to let Brit stay and play with Lila and Nana at Arkadelphia because the weather for the game was predicted to rain.  I know she had a great time with Nana and pop and of course cuz Lila so she was probably more than happy to avoid the game.  Mitch had a golf tournament so he had gone up early for the game and AB, Erin Maneth and I came up on Friday to meet them.  We had such a good time going to eat with friends at our fave Mellow Mushroom and game day festivities and AB's favorite the Clairon hot tub!

Pre game tailgating in the rain!
We even got to hang out with some of our hometown friends while we were there.  Addie Blaire had a blast getting to play in the mud with her pal Darby Kate.  Making memories these girls will have with them for years to come on the hill!
We even got to hang out with my friend Renee who is (or was at the time since I'm so behind) about to have baby Vivie.  The rain didn't stop us from trying to make all the stops.
Colins and Addie Blaire at the game.  These two get along so well, he even suffered through some Barbie movies with us that night.
Poncho time, it was pretty miserable not only were we getting beat it kept raining and then would stop where you didn't know whether to cover up or not, but as you can tell it didn't stop this girl from having a good time.  Where there is popcorn and dippin dots we are easy to please!
Finally caught Sooie after trying to catch her several times during the game.  If you look back you can see the progress AB has made in her acceptance of the mascots it took a couple of years but we actually aren't having to hold her for the pic this year!!
Mellow mushroom, one of our favorite stops!
AB and I taking cover during the rain and having a little dippin dots to pass the time.
To prove that Brit enjoyed her weekend her is some evidence that Nana sent over the weekend.  I know she got to do exactly what she wanted because she always does!
Nana, Pop and Aunt T took Britann and Lila to the local fair for some entertainment, but I'm not sure by the tears in the picture if the pigs were her idea of fun!
M&M's at church this is Brit's first year to try and go with big sister and she seems to enjoy herself (well most Wednesdays we end up staying)  This is the mask she made one night with the help of some friends I think.
We love to go to the fair each fall and this year was even more fun.  We went to the fair parade and then met some friends at the fair where all the kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest.  I think the older ones attempted every ride they could.  Addie Blaire's first year to ride the big slide all by herself!  I didn't have my camera so that is the only picture I got because the phone wasn't doing the best job in the dark.
This is the best present that I have gotten from Addie Blaire but since the etch a sketch needed to be cleared I had to have some kind of proof.  This is the family portrait that she drew me one night.  I think that kid has a future cause that hair on daddy is pretty right on and if you notice Zoe has only 3 legs! Awww love my little family!
The next few pictures are from Britann's actual bday.  We weren't having her party since it was a weeknight so I took the day off and we got to hang out just the two of us for most of the day. We started with breakfast with Sissie at the donut shop before school....

 one happy birthday girl!
then we made a trip to Wally world and I think this was the highlight of her day.  We threw her a little impromptu birthday party right their on aisle 7 me and all her friends that is!  She had a blast and even picked out one special baby to come back home to play.
after that we stopped by daddy's work and got to hang out with several different animals but her favorite was feeding the horses.
My sweet 2 year old!  I can't believe it has flown by she is now a toddler:(
That afternoon as we left out to pick up sister she said "jeep" so mommy did it we picked up Sissie in the jeep.  This request may not sound like a big deal but considering it is a manual and I had to shift during school traffic and pick up line I would say this was one of the harder birthday wishes for mommy to manage!
A weekend later we were able to get the chance to go to Tiger Tunes 2012 thanks to my sweet cousins for the tickets and hook up on some great seats!  AB and I had a great time and she looks forward to it every year.
The two little girls weren't quite ready to attend (Aunt T had already gone with a few friends) so Nana gladly entertained them for us.  We tried with no luck to take a pic of me with all the girls but unfortunately this was as good as it got!
Cousin Lindsey is on the OSF foundation so she spoke during tunes and Abbey performed with the Tri Chi's as a circus employee.
The next day since cousin Lindsey was on homecoming we all attempted to go to the game but this is the only picture we got of the girls in their cheerleading costumes because it was absolutely freezing at the game.  Aren't those the cutest cheerleaders you have ever seen!
 Love all these gals!
All the Fowler girls at the game with the exception of the homecoming girl because she got the stomach virus and had to rush home after coronation.  Poor thing I felt so bad for her!
We attempted a photo with the OBU tiger but as you can tell AB is the only one brave enough the other girls resemble those photos I mentioned earlier of AB with the Razorback, all out terror!!
Addie Blaire and Abbey.  She was so sweet to take her around during the game and for popcorn her favorite football activity!
Happy fall and Happy Birthday Britann, next for the big parrrrttty!!!

Tailgating fun for the whole family!

The first Little Rock game of the season and we took the whole family to join in on the fun, or at least the part before we got beat by the other team!  We had a great time and the girls are really learning to get into the tailgating.  I think we have a great spot that we set up at because the kids have plenty of room to run around and play.  We had some great food and some great company including Aunt T and Lila.

 The little cheerleaders!

The girls and I made a trip down to see the team come through and they really got into all the excitement.

The big girls even went up to give the team a high five and got several comments from the players and Jeff Long the athletic director about "the cute cheerleaders" They thought that was pretty cool.
Racing cousins.  Really it was the only way I could get them to line up and be able to take a picture of the three of them, pretty clever huh.
