AB participated in the Hot Springs Sweethearts program this year. It is a wonderful opportunity for young ladies to spend the year learning more about heart health and educating them on different aspects of healthcare. The girls attended sessions where they learned about nutrition, learned how to stitch up a wound on a pig's foot (ew), and then spent many hours in the hospital rooms learning more about patient care. This girl got to see a few babies born or circumcised; eek! She was able to watch surgery on a gunshot wound and take xrays and MRIs on patients. It really is a special program because these girls get first-hand knowledge of healthcare they would never get otherwise. She loved all these experiences and the time spent with friends as well. The evening was filled with dinner, dancing, and an auction to celebrate these ladies. They all looked so beautiful, and we found what AB thought was her perfect dress to complete the night. I am so proud of the beautiful young lady she is becoming, and I loved watching she and her dad on the dance floor. I hope the video will load to the post but trust me, they stole the show!
