Dance Recital 2017

This post is going to be picture overload but I never can choose which ones to post and since I have printed a picture in about 3 years I figure this maybe the only proof I have one day of all these costumes and after the amount of "funds" that go to recitals each year you better bet there will be lots of photos!  Hahaha..but really!
This year's dance recital theme was Disney and they went all out!  The costumes and the songs and scenery and even props were too cute.  It was my favorite recital for the girls.  As in year's past each girl was in a separate recital so we spent the whole week going back and forth for each one to practice and then I spent 4 long hours Thursday and Friday night in the basement of the Perot with each one for their dress rehearsals.  I complain but I also wouldn't have it any other way. The girls are so much fun to be around and all the mom's mange to find a few good laughs through all the craziness, costume changes, and hair dos!
B's first dance was to "Do you want to build a Snowman" from Frozen...doesn't she look like a real life Elsa!

And then she danced her jazz dance to a song from Princess and a Frog.. "Almost There"
How cute is this little thing!   Love that little belly button!

AB at dress rehearsal for her first number.
She dance tap to Mary Poppins "Chim, Chimney!"
And her jazz dance was to"Dig a Little Deeper" from Princess and a Frog.

"Never smile at a Crocodile" from Princess and a Frog was one of the cutest dances of the night and this one did awesome!  She tapped her little tail off, so proud of all the progress she is making each year.  She is doing so well just like her big sis!

Ellie and AB...so glad even though our friends have moved we still get to hang out and see each other.  These two have lots of memories together so I'm thankful we still all get together whenever we can.

AB's jazz dance with the Princess
AB's ballet costume this year was so pretty...it just really looked gorgeous on her.  Her dance this year was to Beatuy and the Beast "Something there"

They even had all the parents submit photos from Disneyworld to play at intermission.  That worked out perfectly for us considering we had just gotten back I had picture overload.  This was the only one I caught on camera I think B's played too but I never caught it.

Audrey and AB were so excited for the dance recital but even more fired up to talk about camp...it will be here in just a few weeks.  These two are so excited to be going with each other and I know they are going to have a blast!

B loves some Ellie!

Always got to ham it up for the camera!

Sheshe and Bobo surprised her with flowers.  The grandparents are always so sweet to spend the entire day with us recitaling.  I know two dance recitals in one day is a lot because trust me I am back there but for these granddads both mine and his to sit through them is awesome and a testament to how much they love these two girls!

B and Grace

My cute little Chimney sweep!

These girls never get accused of looking much alike but in this photo it is hard to deny they actually look like sisters!  Maybe its just the silly faces that are done after so many pictures or the eyeliner mom doesn't know how to apply but I would almost go so far as to say they look just alike!
This is the I'm done with photos..peace out face!

A daddy and his girls...there is nothing like it.
A long day of dancing called for ice cream afterwards.  Thankful for all those that put their heart and soul into making this a great recital and even more thankful for all the family that hung in there with us through all the many, many dances to make sure my girls knew how much they are loved and adored.
It was a fun year of dance, a great recital but now this momma is ready for some lazy summer nights...and no more trips to Texarkana for a while!
