In going back through some of my pictures I realized I had missed a few of our big moments of summer 2014...
A trip to Magic Springs with Payton but not just any trip...we got to see Bridgett Medler (I hope I spelled that right) in concert. AB had wanted to go to this concert all summer so I made sure to try and get her there. B even wanted to see the show so this was her first official concert as well!
but not before we had a little fun on all the rides.Who couldn't love a good summer concert under the stars on a blanket with French fries and ice cream..perfect!
AB didn't miss a word she was all over it!
And another monumental milestone was AB's new love of watersports. We spent the weekend with the Lawhons and McCaslins. The Lawhons had a boogie board and this girl got up on her first try..not to mention standing!! It was so much fun to watch her back there smiling from ear to ear.
Evan, Mason, Payton and AB
This is what success feels like...too bad my picture doesn't do the smile justice. I do have video proof though that this girl got up on her very FIRST try skiing and not only got up but stayed and went round and round until they shut the boat off. I realized once she was up that we never expected her to stay up because we never taught her how to let go or quit!! I guess I took for granted how easy it would be for her. She skied and skied that day, even tried to teach Collins Gentry how to...so proud of her accomplishment. We did have a weekend where she didn't have the right rope and had a bad experience which almost burned her on it all, but luckily a few weeks later and with some major bribery from mom out there in the water with her..she gave it another try and ended the summer on a perfect note not once but twice. Can't wait to see what is in store for next year.
And the highlight of the summer for daddy was his big win in the Hope four ball golf tournament with his partner Chad. These two have played together in this tournament for some twenty years and never won...and crazy enough they beat out all the young guys this year and took home the tropy for 1st place. I have never seen two middle aged (sorry guys but it's true) so excited!! It was a long time coming..one proud wifey.
A little county fair fun!!
B and I took on the obstacle course...and man was that a workout! And hat day at B's school..this cutie was totally excited to wear her very own hat she had picked out at the beach.
apparently she is in class with a mess of cowboys!! because western day they went all out!
and these cute cowgirls were right along beside them!
A weekend with the McCaslins in Little Rock and the kids had the best time hanging out with cousins and friends.
swimming, roasting marshmallows
= good times by all!
A morning walk along the stream in downtown Hot Springs with mom and dad even proved to be an adventure. I love our one on one time with the kids and how much they seem to enjoy still having mom and dad around...hope that never ever changes!!
now to begin catching up on all this fall fun..until then!
