Fourth of July Fun!

This will be, as most of mine are, a somewhat random post made up of several photos from lazy summer days at home.  These are some though that looking back will probably be my favorites.  We stay pretty busy most of the time so when we have time to relax and hang out we make the most of it.  The girls have enjoyed staying in pajamas til noon and their mornings at the library with Aimee.  it has been a nice change of pace for us all in the mornings... I have even started to run.  This is a big deal considering how much I love my sleep!  So sit back and relax and enjoy a minute of pure summer fun with us.

Just a fun photo of the girls chomping down on some birthday cake. That tent didn't stand a chance against these two!
Addie Blaire giving the new bike a try.  She still isn't a big fan of riding a bike but I am hoping that will come with time.
Four little monkeys laying in a bed... Addie Blaire and her cousins from Austin, TX.  They had the best time at our family reunion this year in Hot Springs.  We spent the entire weekend before the 4th hanging out on the lake with loved ones and of course lots of good food!
The girls were ready for some fun in the sun!  But poor Brit got stung by something the night before and we ended up at the doctors office.  As you can see in the photo it got her right next to her right eye, it was so swollen she coud  barely open her eye.  I felt so bad for her because it looked terrible and most have been so uncomfortable all weekend.  Plus the fact that she kept going despite the massive amount of benedryl the doctor told me to keep giving her made for a "super trooper" award in my books.  Sweet baby girl, is such a little sport she never seems to complain and is always up for anything.
Carter and Addie Blaire became fast friends... they hadn't seen each other in several years so it was great for them to reconnect.
Pool time was the favorite for all the kiddos, although the boys aren't in many pictures because the were off fishing most of the time.

All the Epperson girls, 3rd and 4th generations are represented:  Abby, myself, Terri, Lindsey, Lesley, and Jennifer and in front AB, Carter, Lila and Brit.
The weekend after the 4th we spent in Hot Springs as well. Mitch and I even had time to go for a run down some beautiful trails.  This was a real treat for us because we don't do much by ourselves so we took full advantage of our morning together.
We spent time on "g's" paddle boat, but after dad and mom's run that morning it made for a quick trip.  I forgot how brutal that is on the legs!!

Another trip to Magic Springs, but this time with daddy in tow.  He hadn't been in years and so we didn't want him to miss out on the fun this summer.  We all had a great time on the water slides and his personal favorite the lazy river.
The next week Addie Blaire participated in a golf camp at the country club.  She really seemed to enjoy it too!  This made dad super happy of course!!  She may just turn out to be a golfer after all.
Look at that swing!
And with her fearless coach... as she says "Bud."
That day after camp she changed gears a bit and went to Darby Kate's birthday party.  It was a fun spa day for the girls with a limo ride and all!
The 4th of July would not be complete without the fireworks and festivities at our church each year.  It really is the place to be for the 4th. Britann even got to participate in the bike parade this year.

AB all decorated and ready to ride! (well sort of, once again not her favorite past time but never one to say no she did it with a smile on her face).
Warming up, we did the parade route several times gearing up for it.

Pop having a pre parade pep talk!
And their off....
A handful of girls!!
No she wasn't actually afraid of the train... just the train conductor.  Little did she know with dad driving she probably should have been terrified!

We ran into lots of buddies that night.  Julia and Lydia..
Zack and Chandler
and Whitman and Abigail
The girls and Nana even played a few games.  Mitch and I were tied up with the train all night so mom and dad were a big help with the kids.
Show time!  The fireworks at the church really are some of the best that I have ever seen.  It is a pretty cool thing that in a town as small as our you can see thousands of people gathered around to watch. I am so proud of our church and this outreach that we do each year that draws so many to us.
Brit and her buddy Olivia!
The girls squealing with delight!
People gathered on blankets and chairs for as far as you can see, gives me chill bumps just thinking about it.  So proud to be a part of FUMC and all that they are striving to do for our community and those in need around us!

Happy 4th of July!
