My goodness it is hard to believe that summer is coming to a close as I sit her to write this post. The summer at our house always involves and revolves around one thing.. the lake. We try our hardest to spend as much time as possible at the condo. It starts on Memorial Day weekend each year with the Maneth crawfish broil. This year was no different.. luckily I have Fridays off in the summer so the girls and I got it kick started a little early this year.
We got to see Brandee, Mark, Mason and Max one day on the lake. Addie Blaire was so excited to get the chance to ride the tube with Mason. They smiled ear to ear the whole way!
I even had the pleasure of getting in on the fun when Brit wanted to give it a try. I must say I got my fill real quick when we went over a few bumps and I was holding on for dear live with all three of the kiddos in tow! Brit liked it but I think those bumps may have been enough to keep her from begging to get back on anytime soon..
We ran into the Coffee bunch out on the lake, Maggie, AB and DK had a great time swimming around in the brisk water that day.
After the rain at the crawfish broil the kiddos took refuge in our boat. It is safe to say that it didn't seem to slow them down at all...
This is the first picture, although not very clear of our crop!! We are officially in the garden business this year and we have some record size cucumbers!! Who would have ever thunk it that Mitch and I had such a green thumb, certainly not either one of us!! Makes for some great veggies at our house this summer though and the kids are loving getting to go out and pick them right off the vine.
Livi and AB at Kids' College this year. Ab looks forward to these two weeks in the summer more than any other. She loves getting to fill like a big kid out at the college and the plus this year was that I got to go by and see her. The girls in their igloo during "Arctic slam" class.
AB showing her skills, which she is pretty proud of know thanks to Mr. Morris who told her she sang like Taylor Swift!! Needless to say she had a blast at "School of Rock!"
This is the magic spot to get Brit to take a nap. I don't know what it is about daddy's lap that does the trick but it seems to work every time!
We have been keeping the jeep in Hot Springs this summer so the girls look forward to a long awaited Jeep ride whenever we are there.
just a floatin on the pontoon boat....
Our second trip to Magic Springs this year. Luckily we got season passes for Addie's birthday so we have taken full advantage of our trip to Magic Springs this summer. I think we have been four times already. Mom decided to go with me one day as I attempted to take both girls by myself. Luckily she was there because it sure did help out to have an extra set of hands. Ready for some action...
we even got Nana on A ride. That is a big deal in Nana's world.
This is the slide that AB loves most!! I know I can't believe I let her do it all by herself, especially considering she started doing it by herself last summer. She loves to fly down on this mat, probably even more than mom does (which isn't saying much.)
The runaway train roller coaster is another of AB's favorites. (we are the two specs in the middle)
Lastly, my old personal favorite the log ride. I had hoped to take Brit with us but Nana wasn't having it this time. Maybe next time little Brit when Nana isn't watching we can give it a try. Can you tell how fired up Addie Blaire is for this?
Up, up and away.. the girls and I got our fill of this spinning hot air balloon.
Brit's favorite is the carousel so we took a few trips on it just for her.
After a long hot afternoon, a little trip out of the park in the stroller was needed... I only wish they made them in my size too!!
Up next our camping adventure (and adventure it was!)
