We had our annual church Easter Egg hunt and Addie really did well this year. Mom was pretty excited about all that candy too! This is the pastor with Britann he said was just holding her, practicing for her big day the following morning! How could you be scared of an Easter bunny as cute as this one?
Having a blast running around playing games while mom is busy messing up kids faces for Easter pictures by giving temp tattoos!
That tongue, I just love it, she plays with that thing all the time, I wander where she gets that? Huh, dad!
Patiently waiting for the all clear sign to start hunting.
Checking out the stash of goodies, unfortunately for Brit that didn't take long.
Mason, Aunt Brandee and Mark ended up getting to spend the holiday with us because of bad weather in Fayetteville that weekend so we were so excited to have them. Mason and Addie had fun coloring eggs and playing. They even spotted a snake in our backyard, glad that daddy was around for that one!
On Saturday night Aunt T, Uncle B and Lila arrived to spend the night. Luckily the Easter Bunny is very resourceful and knew just where to find her at our house.
Our very own Easter Bunny, Addie wore it several years ago, glad it hung around.
Trying out all the candy, or at least wanting to...
It was so wonderful to have my baby baptised on Easter. I had mentioned to the pastor that I wanted to get her baptized several weeks ago and he said well "how about Easter, after all that is the day that we celebrate baptism" I thought about it and decided he was right and what a cool thing it would be to have all of our family with us and also because Addie Blaire was baptised on Easter 3 years ago also. I was even able to use Addie Blaire's gown and shoes for Britann. It turned out that all of our family my mom and dad, Mitch's parents, Brandee and Mark, Mason, Terri, Bracy and Lila all were there on the pews as the service started. I was really maybe oddly overwhelmed with emotion having them all there and then as the service was starting Pop, Mitch's grandfather walked in (I guess you have to understand the history behind Pop, he is the sweetest man on the planet, he is also the most loyal Baptist I know (which led to a little explaining about some of the rituals of the Methodist afterwards), and not to mention song leader at his church) so for all these reasons him walking up got Mitch and I a little choked up. It is hard to explain to those that don't baptize as infants what it means to those of us that do (Methodist for example) but it is a big deal for me and to have everyone there just like when Addie Blaire was baptized is awesome! She did great, the pastor was so surprised she never even whimpered when he took her from us and poured the water over her. Then to my surprise he just continued to hold her as he led the benediction and walked the aisle with her to the back of the church. This is a picture of Brit greeting everyone at church after the service. I didn't even get her back til everyone had cleared out. She was such a little angel!!

After the service we headed out to all eat at Old Washington State park just a few miles down the road. It turned out to be a great atmosphere for lunch and for pictures afterwards.

and then with Mas (isn't he just a handsome little dud, proud Aunt can't help it!) and then with "G"
The first Cross family photo, of many I'm sure, we like some pictures in our family.Still working on her about getting a blog, I hoping to put this on here to guilt her into it!
