Mitch had quite the scare the week before and ended up in the hospital in Hope for a day or two. He was having bad headaches and fever and the doctor said it was a work I won't even begin to spell but that it was an infection on his brain. He swears it was from a mosquito that bit him the day before while playing golf. Anyways, he had several xrays, blood work ,etc. I spent the night with him in the hospital while my mom watched Addie at home. It was a pretty scary 24 hours to say the least. The next day he was feeling much better though after some breathing treatments, steroids, and iv antibiotics. He was a much better patient than I anticipated he would be but was very eager to get out of that place. He took several days to get back to feeling himself again, so our plan had been for him to watch Addie Blaire so mom, Terri and I could hang out that weekend in Little Rock. Since he wasn't up to it though I took Addie with us and it ended up being an even more memorable weekend than it would have otherwise. It also allowed him some time to rest and get to feeling better. We went to a great dinner on Friday and then on Saturday morning Terri and I had the Women Can Run race in Conway to attend. My mom and Addie cheered us on from the finish line. I actually helped Jodi with the clinic her in Hope but wasn't as much help this year since I was pregnant. However, I did walk the race and helped with some duties along the way. Terri had done the clinic in LR and she ran the entire race!! Yeah for her! After the race we went and had a mani and pedi day in Little Rock. Addie Blaire had her first pedicure and needless to say she is a changed woman because of it. I don't think a day passes that someone random person is not asked to look at her "beautiful toes"! Fun times and I can't wait for next year to have another little girl to join in the fun.
After the race, there were so many participants this year which was great! Thanks to Jodi for getting our team together in Hope.
Three generations of Fowler women!
Addie Blaire met a little girl that I had known her mother in college and they had a blast dancing to the "cha cha" and other fun music after the race.
Addie Blaire's first pedi!! She loved every second of it. Aunt Brandee even stopped by to witness the fun. She loved the chair so much the next little girl didn't stand a chance at sitting down. The rest of us were down the way getting ours and she would lean over and wave to us and go back to chatting with the child next to her. The women in there were getting a big kick out of her! She got to pick her own color and surprise, she picked fluorescent pink with black glitter on top!! They were mighty pretty toes, just don't ask her dad about them he wasn't as big of a fan.
