Easter

We had a great Easter weekend this year. It was a little different for me because my entire family was at a wedding for my cousin in Pennsylvania. I am very sad that I had to miss it but with the pregnancy (aka morning sickness), the fear of flying so far with Addie for the first time, and changing careers it was more than I could do right now. I know that everyone had a great time, I was thinking about all you guys I promise! I was asked to help with our Easter egg hunt so Addie and I decorated on Friday night and then Mitch, Addie, and I headed to the hunt on Saturday morning. It was a lot of fun and there were plenty of games and eggs for everyone. After the hunt we headed to Little Rock to spend time with Aunt Bran, Mark, Mason and Bobo. We got to spend the afternoon at the pool (hard to believe it was 85 degrees on Easter!) We then went to Fellowship church for a service that evening and afterwards we were treated to dinner at Bonefish! Not bad for a Easter meal. On Sunday, we went to our church for the service. It proved to be very exciting thanks to one little Addie Blaire! I decided to bring her into church service that day because all the kids seemed to be there so during the time for children's moments all the kiddos went down front. Well I should have known better but for some reason I thought it was a good idea to take her also. I sat down on the front row and let her go to the front. Well she caused a little scene trying to find a seat, so luckily my cousin Kristi was doing the lesson and found her a seat right in the middle (not a good idea) Well Kristi gave all the kids an egg, and as each one opened it they noticed it was empty. But leave it to my child to stand up and let everyone know that the "egg was empty, somebody took the candy" I guess it got a few laughs yet I was beginning to get nervous in my seat because laughs only make her try harder for attention (she is after all Mitch's child!) so I didn't know what was next. I was trying to stay seated to not cause more of a scene unless needed. Well after that she must have gotten bored with the scene so she decided to wander around. She looked up from where she was standing and noticed the preacher sitting on a higher level at the pulpit. Addie decided to go visit him so she gets both hands and feet on the stage, only problem she is standing on her dress! Yep, she was flashing the whole crowd with her beautiful sagging diaper!! At this point, I did step in, and well you can guess how well received that was, luckily she wrapped up and we headed straight to the nursery. I guess these are the moments we will remember for a lifetime, and the picture of her stuck up there will make me smile every time!

That might be the prettiest Easter bunny ever, thanks to Penny! Addie wasn't scared of this bunny, who could be she is way too cute.

She gave all the games a try (try being the key word there)

The kids all played Simon says, somehow Addie hung in there for awhile with the big kids I think she was just to small to spot.

The preacher reading the Easter story to the kids.

Her favorite part was the candy, once she found one egg I couldn't get her to move, she just wanted to eat the candy, so we weren't to bountiful in the egg hunt this year!

Chocolate candy on the face, success!

Tired little girl on her way to see cousin Mas.

What a way to spend a spring afternoon, splashing in the pool.

These two love there Bobo.

The Easter bunny even found her new house this year, what a relief!

Everyone was so excited about after church pictures can't you tell! Is that a smile or are you gritting your teeth there daddy??!

These are the beautiful eggs that Addie decorated this year "all by herself"! That is pretty much how we do everything these days.

Spring Break!

This year for Spring Break I decided to take Addie to do a few activities and get out of town just like all the big kids. We started the week at my doctor's appt. in Hot Springs. It went well and they were even able to find a heartbeat so that was exciting for me! I was at that point 13 or 14 weeks. After the appt. my mom came up and we took Addie to Garvin Gardens to see all the tulips. It was about her nap time so I didn't know what to expect, but I guess I should have! She loved all the tulips but she was not in the mood to stand still for any photos like mom was hoping. We had a great time, Addie Blaire really loves flowers, she loves to go on walks to pick them and we have even planted several this year. She was just running all over the place from flower to flower looking at all the beautiful colors they had on display. If you have never been I urge you to go sometime it is so beautiful they have every color tulip and flower out there. I wish I had just taken more photos of all the flowers rather than trying to chase down a two yr. old for a picture she didn't want any part of!
I don't think she knew I was taking this one, she was staring at the fish pond at the time. This was her Easter dress this year.
I just love tulip trees, I wish I had one at my house. She loved this part because we had to follow a trail through the forest and as I have mentioned earlier she loves Dora so we made it a game to find the right path, which really got her excited!
The tulips were at the top of the hill and this was the expression I caught of her the minute her eyes saw what was ahead, priceless.

I took so many pictures of her in these flowers that I just had to pick a few. By the way, in case anyone from Garvin Gardens is reading we did not pick this flower it was laying on the ground, I promise!!

This is more like the kind of pictures that I usually get when she sees that I am watching her. Just like her dad what can I say.

Don't forget to stop and smell the tulips!
I enjoyed our afternoon so much, I just love the chances we get to have some fun girl time.

The next day we met a friend of mine, Laci and her precious little boy, Mason at Museum of Discovery in Little Rock. We had a great time catching up and the kids had a blast at the museum. It was my first time there and they have so much for the young ones to play on and it is separate from the big kids area so it was just perfect for these two! Afterwards we went to Scallions for a yummy lunch!

She is quite the performer, I swear the child sings every chance she gets. It is actually quite amazing all the songs she knows for a kid her age. She really liked this stage because it had a television screen set up in front of it so the kids can watch themselves. She really turned on the performance once she realized that.!

How cute is this little guy!!!! I just love the curls, he looks just like his daddy with blond hair!

The next day Brandee and I took Addie and Cousin Mason to the zoo. The kids had a great time, although it may not seem like it in this picture. I think Brandee and I had threatened them and bribed them with everything we had to stand there and let us take there picture. I guess they showed us!

Addie loves her cousin Mason, so I was really glad we got to spend some time we he and Aunt Brandee too, afterwards Aunt T came and met us at the Purple Cow, yummy!

Jonquil Festival

Addie Blaire and I met Becky and Katie Ella at the Jonquil festival a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time, the weather was so beautiful that day and we stayed for several hours just playing and exploring. It had been awhile since I had actually toured the homes there and I actually really enjoyed it. The flowers were all in bloom so we attempted to get some pictures of the girls, but we didn't get there full cooperation that day, I guess all the sugar from the cherry lemonade and candy probably didn't help! But festival food sure is good!

My little flower girl, Becky had bought them both these headbands and they were just too cute.

For those that have never been there, the biggest magnolia tree I have ever seen is there. It is like a jungle underneath that thing. Addie Blaire and Katie Ella had fun exploring and pretending to be Dora looking for the animals. Addie is really big into Dora these days and everthing is about taking the right path and crossing the bridges so we make it into a game whereever we are.

Well at least I got some silly pictures. I guess that is even better!

The poor guy let us pay for one trip through this tunnel and we could do it all we wanted. Long story but Becky and I had no cash and searched all over town for an atm, well we ended up buying stamps in order to get a roll of coins, which didn't go far with $5 lemonade! Anyways, the kiddos went through it maybe 50 times, poor guy he just didn't know our crazy kids.
Becky gave it a try to show them how it was done, better her than me!
