Addie Blaire's 3rd Birthday!!

Addie Blaire's 3rd birthday was Pinkalicious!!! She had told me earlier when I asked her what kind of party she wanted that she wanted a pink tea party. She loves the book Pinkalicious so I decided it would be alot of fun to have several little girls around Addie's age (and a few very special men) over for a tea party. We threw in a little swimming too (it is our first year with a pool so I had to take advantage) The weather the day of the party was storming so I was a little frightened because Mitch and I had stayed up late setting up everything the night before and I was so scared it was all going to blow away! It worked out fine though because it stopped raining right before the party started !! Yea, I had everyone saying some prayers for us on that one. The party was great. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves and the pool was a hit. I attached like a million pictures so you will have to excuse me but this is as close as Addie Blaire is going to get to a scrapbook so I wanted her to remember it all!

Thanks to Kristi for all the use of her decorations. Mitch and I worked hard on trying to get this tent effect. I racked my brain on how to get the material to stay and then once we figured that part out we had a big ugly ceiling fan in the way. So I started hot gluing balloons to a plastic tablecloth and there you have it a centerpiece was created!! Mitch said he never would have believed that hot glue and balloons and plastic would have mixed but somehow it did! I guess I really went with the pink theme! But it was all worth it when my mom brought Addie in that day (she had spent the night and gone to bible school at my mom's church) she screamed with excitement!! Mitch even said it was worth his bad back and sore lungs from blowing up all the balloons.

The birthday girl. She looks so big and grown up all of a sudden!

My camera didn't cooperate with me that day so the pictures are all a little dark unfortunately.

Each little girl had a place setting with a crown, wand and personalized place setting. For those that haven't read the book the little girl is all about the crown and wand.

The birthday girl waiting for her friends to arrive.

Addie with her favorite man on the planet, cousin Mason! He is quite a handsome little dude isn't he.

In keeping with the theme, I got some cute ideas from websites on the pink food table. I served strawberry marshmallows, pink moon pies, strawberries and pink dip, m&m's, pink whoppers, pink cream cheese and jelly crown shaped sandwiches (which were really good by the way) and the cupcake cake.

I was impressed with this fondant cherry, it looked so real! I tried out a new baker on this one and he did a great job!! Only problem is I am not a very good driver and it was a little lopsided by the time we made it home.

I found the cutest little labels for the favor bags that were personalized, it really does pay to read some other mom's blogs that have done similar parties. I got the best ideas from them!

This is a picture of the green table. If you have ever read the book she has to eat green foods to turn back to a normal color from pink. She had to eat olives, pickles, broccoli, and other so we tried to recreate that the best we could. I don't think the table was actually finished when this picture was taken.

Each child got their own personalized cupcake.

I don't know if he is just happy to be here, or it is the Red Bull just kicking in!! He actually had just gotten back from the store picking up the pizza and had bought Addie a shirt in the gas station that said "mommy is in a bad mood please help call 1-800- daddy!! Always the funny guy!

Another cute find from a friend of mine that had done the same party idea.

My mom found this precious cupcake for the birthday girl's chair! Way to go Nana!

I tried to recreate (well actually my sister did it for me) an idea I had seen with cupcakes on a stick. For last minute, I thought they turned out pretty cute. The kids liked them because they were really, really sweet!!

My happy little birthday girl!

I love you Addie Blaire!! You are going to make the best big sister ever!

Addie and her pal Griffin all dressed up in his pink!

She really loves to be a princess these days so this party was right up her alley. She even wants to wear her "princess dresses" at least once a day and don't forget the shoes and crown or you are in trouble!

I wanted to take a picture of this adorable Pinkalicious bow I found on etsy. It was too cute!

Lily and Ellie

Lynnley and Lily

Payton and Lydia

Everyone singing "happy birthday" to her! She loved that !

After cake, the kids busted into the cupcake pinata. Luckily this one had strings to pull so it wasn't quite as crazy. It was a free for all when that candy came out though.

Cousin Lydia was all dressed up with all the goodies on!

The cake had a few difficulties staying on the plate after it was cut. I looked over and it was up against the wall, but luckily for me my dad being the trooper that he is loaded it all up on his plate!!! Don't worry he really didn't eat it all!

Ready to get her feet wet, and the rest of her for that matter!

Hey, "it's my party and I'll cry if I want to!" She was only upset because I couldn't get her in the pool fast enough.

My dad and sister!! I think this is a great testament to Mitch in 20ish years what he has to look forward to. Two little girls (well sort of) who still love their daddy!!!

Katie Ella trying out the new doggie.

My brave little girl was one of the only ones to attempt the slide. She loved it, but daddy couldn't get to far away.

She got some great presents this year. Her present from us was her playground, or at least the getting it together part.

Too cute!!

Hanging out with Mason, getting to try out all her new stuff!

Yeah, I know it is overkill but I had to take one more picture of our creation because if you knew how late Mitch and I stayed up trying to attempt getting this up there and to stay you would understand!!

Addie Blaire's First Dance Recital!

Well the day finally came, I don't know if i dreaded seeing my little baby dancing on stage like a big girl more or the fact that now she has discovered lipstick and wants to wear it everyday!! She did a great job at the recital. Luckily this year they separated the big and little girls recitals so ours was over very quickly!! She did a great job during her dance, with a little help from her teacher off stage. She was so funny because as they were leaving the stage in a line dancing she let everyone pass her and she stayed on the stage by herself. Well, you see she heard everyone clapping and of course they were all clapping for her so she stopped and gave them all a bow and waved to the crowd!! It was pretty humorous to see her up there by herself bowing to all her fans! The kids all came back up at the end to do there "fun songs" like the chicken dance, head shoulders, and a few others. She really enjoyed this part because she got to really show us her stuff, she has been doing this for a while now so no teacher was needed for her to perform this time. At the end of the show each child was to come on stage and wave and blow a kiss to the crowd as their name was announced, well being that she is her father's daughter somehow she crossed the stage and her name was announced three times I think!!!! She is so shy it is really a shame!!!
Here are my pics from the night. Get ready for picture overload because I just couldn't decide what to post, it takes me longer to pick through them all then to just put it all on here!

She looks so much older, it makes me so sad!! The girls wore red polka dot dresses and their tap shoes for the "Good Ship Lollipop" dance.

Addie and her cousin Lily.
This is a picture of Addie with Erin McMasters from her class. She is the sweetest little girl and so beautiful. It wasn't a week after this recital that Erin was camping with her parents and sister at the campground that flooded in east Arkansas. She and and her family held on to trees as the area flooded. Unfortunately, she lost her mother in that flood. Please say a little prayer for this sweet child who has now lost her mother. Her mother was the sweetest, most thoughtful woman and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
I tried to get her to pose like some of the bigger kids, but we just couldn't quite get it! I am not complaining though because at least she looked at the camera and smiled, much better than usual.

Addie Blaire and Maddie one of her friends from class.

The whole gang, boy was that a fun picture for the photographer to try to take!

She was boogieing in this one I think.

Getting a belly ache from all those lollipops!

Now this is where I was saying she came alive with her moves what girl wouldn't with the "chicken dance" playing.

I don't know if this was taken on her 1st, 2nd or 3rd strut across the stage, but it is pretty obvious that the stage was not a problem for her except that she had to share it!!!

After the show, her friend Griffin came and watched her and brought her flowers!! How freakin cute is that! She was so excited to see him, she even yelled out during her dance "hey there's griff" when she spotted him from stage.

She wanted so badly to give him a kiss, something dad is not too keen on but she couldn't resist. He wasn't sure about it at first but like all men he gave in to her!!!

Success!

Addie with her great grandparents, Nicki and Pop Powell.

Addie and her "G"!

Nana and Pop came down for the show too!

This is I guess what happens when mom tries to just get in one picture!! She is really good with those eyes these days!! By the way I was about 24 weeks during this picture!! Like I said before this is as much as I will be posting of the big Buddha belly!
Loving the daddy these days!! She is a little mini me with him following in his shadow wherever he goes! Hope daddy is ready for another one, he will have his own daddy fan club it seems!

We love you Addie Blaire and are so proud of you and all your "moves!"
