4th of July Fireworks

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July holiday then swinging on a bench with a perfect view of the fireworks display from every angle.  These kiddos had such a good time together on the 4th.  It is great to have a place where our friends can come and stay especially now that the girls are getting older and love have friends around.
We tried a few of our own but since mom is a chicken when it comes to fireworks the kids were not too impressed with what I bought.  The little popper things and sparklers didn't seem to have the thrill they
This was the extent of our fireworks...needless to say the kids were a little under impressed by the sparklers...
The next day we headed back to town to help with the church 4th of July celebration for the whole community.

The kiddos both participated in the bike parade.

AB's first year to really get going on the bike...last year we weren't quite there yet and now she is a pro!!
B on the other hand still needs a good push every few seconds...we are moving on up though to a little bigger bike these days!
Mitch got the job of driving the train once again and he was the hit of the celebration.  These kiddos love the roller coaster ride they get with him.
A little hot dog dinner before the fireworks show,
fun with friends,
and ready for the show to begin!!
It is always a good time and the fireworks show is amazing each year.  It puts all the other ones we see on the lake to shame.  I am so proud of our church for being this light in the community that brings everyone together to celebrate the 4th but more importantly brings the light of Christ to those that need it the most.  If it takes events like this to bring some to the church that might not otherwise come then I would happily help any day!  Happy 4th ya'll!!!
