Last year the day before school started Addie Blaire and I had a mommy and me day to kick off the new school year, so we decided to make it a tradition and do it every year with all the same stops. This year though she wanted to invite Britann to join us for a day of girl time too. I thought she wouldn't remember what all we had done last year but she hadn't forgotten a thing that we had done the previous year. We started with a little pedicure (zebra stripes to be exact) and little Brit and I opted out on the pedi and went for a quick ride instead. After that we went to the picture kiosk in the mall and the 3 of us squeezed in to get a few pictures to remember the day by. I wish I could have remembered to attach them on this blog. maybe later...
Then it was on to Chick fil a for a bite to eat, which is pretty much all they will eat when checking out that play center! The year before we hit the movies but this year little Brit wasn't quit ready so we did a little shopping and some ice cream instead.
The first day of school K5! and Mrs. Shonda's. Little Brit was so determined to have a "backpak" too. She ran back in the house to get her's after seeing me make such a big deal about AB having one.

I decided to start trying each year to make a record of how much we have grown and changed from year to year so I asked Addie Blaire a few little questions that we will ask each year and see how time changes those answers (or at least I am hoping so!) So I asked her favorite toy? Dottie - her little pink and white stuffed dog that she sleeps with each night. Her favorite show: Good Luck Charlie, for those that are out of the loop it is about a family that is actually pretty funny trying to raise the younger sister and all or their craziness. Unfortunately I see a little of myself in the mother sometimes and it scares me!! Her pet: Zoe, the three legged dog. She wanted to add that at the last minute as we were getting ready to take the picture I guess she felt bad seeing Zoe staring at her. Favorite food: Mac and cheese, enough said we all love it and that never changes! Wants to be: toe nail polisher. Now this one is up for debate but she was so certain that I had to go with it. I think the coke they offered her the day before during her pedicure (I don't let her have coke) may have been the selling point who wouldn't want to work at a place where you paint toes and drink soda all day!! The girl does have a point.... only time will tell.
Addie Blaire and Mrs. Wachob her Kindergarten teacher. She is a hoot! I know they are going to have so much fun. The first day they got to chase the gingerbread man all over the school! I know she is going to have a great year and I can't wait to see all that she will learn.
Little sister had to give the desk a try. I had to pull her away or I think she would have stayed all day.
I had to show all of our new melons. I had told the man that mows to just pull up a few of the vines that didn't have any melons on them. Well low and behold look what he came to the door with... that is how big the vines had grown so much so that we hadn't even seen all these little guys. More pics to come because we have six more on the way. Who knows we maybe having watermelon for Thanksgiving around our house.
